I’ll get straight to the point. I was very disappointed with the food that I received from Al’s Fish & Chicken. My order today actually contained BRUISED fried chicken. Anyone who enjoys eating chicken DOES NOT want to eat bruised chicken.If it were possible to give a negative star rating…Al’s Bruised Fish & Chicken would get -5.

This store is associated with Al's in the Eastern Market in Detroit. And I believe there is one associated with Al's in Gratiot Centro Mkt., too. They all sell fresh and fried fish. I've always been happy with their product and I was happy with their product at this location. The service was good and the price was fair. If you like, you buy, we fry; you will be happy, too.
I ordered an Orange Roughy dinner and got home and it was Tilapia. I recently read an article where local fish markets are swapping out higher end fish for lower grades. Based on this I will no longer support this location
Chicken pieces are getting smaller and smaller. No concept of customer service or appreciation at all. No longer a worthwhile place to eat.
Fresh fish in cooler with very little ice around pieces to keep fully fresh. Fish does not appear truly FRESH. I have ordered at least three times without incidence.
This is a fresh fish market that you can buy to cook yourself or they cook it for you. I ordered one pound of large shrimp cooked and they were delicious! I highly recommend. They are located in the shopping plaza at 12 mile and Evergreen in Southfield. They also have chicken of which I haven't tried yet.
The food and service is excellent
The Cat fish is delish. But recently, I ordered the 3 piece from the on line menu...the price was $6.99 instead of 8.99 and you only got these 3 tiny pieces of fish.
