I have been going here for well over 7 years. Not to be confused with the chain, this family run restaurant serves up authentic food with lots of love and laughs. They treat you like you are their favorite customers. Great staff, AWESOME FOOD and great prices. Never a complaint! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Family ran business. I slowly have turned into a regular since moving to the area. Probably go at least once a week. Could not put this place on a higher pedestal. Incredible people staffed here. Friendly, professional, and best of all GREAT MEXICAN FOOD. 10/10 5 star in my book!
Food is great!! Im downgrading my 5 stars because of the 4% upcharge for paying with a card. We live in a generation that is close to going cashless. This is cost of doing business. I've managed multiple businesses and besides Amex, not one of them come close to 4%. Not even amex is 4%. Food cost has gone up, I understand, but so has your menu to make that up, which I don't have an issue with. But to charge to pay with a card is asinine and after coming here for many years, I will take my business elsewhere.
This place is so effing good! I always get the Mexico city dinner their pastor is fantastic if I can't get pastor I go for the chorizo. The beans and rice are the best I've had outside of California and the green chili soup they have taste just like the soup my neighbor used to make. This place makes living 3000 miles away from home bearable.
Five of us dined here last night, and our meals were very tasty.I ordered the small nacho, with ground beef, wonderful and the nacho wasLoaded with melted cheese, probably the best nacho I’ve ever had.Well worth stopping in for dinner.We are planning on returning again in the near future.
This place is awesome! I love Mexican food and this place is the best! Not only is the food good, but the staff makes you feel like family. This place is authentic and definitely a gem!
Azetca was soooo good!!Honestly, some of the best salsa I’ve ever had! I got full on it before my food ever came out. I really enjoyed how attentive they were, and the food was fantastic. If I’m ever in the area I’ll go back in a heartbeat. Everyone loved their food so much!I love that they basically put on a birthday performance for my mom with traditional Mexican clothes & instruments. What an adorable place.

the food came out burned to the point of inedible. it was insulting to even bring it out much less ask if its ok. no its not ok but i didnt want to make a scene. when the food was not eaten the owner asked me if i want a box no i do not want a box for burned food. my friend was over charged for the beer. when i asked for more napkins the owner brought one. i was charged full price for the burned food. also the waiter was dirty this is the azteca on mound rd in shelby twp not to be confused with the chain grand azteca
