I like the name of the bar but was disappointed that when I went there they had a country western bar crawl going on so they were playing country music and I thought with a name like Rock On 3rd they would be playing rock music this is coming from a guy who not the biggest fan of country music anyways. But I will say the bartenders were friendly and the beer was cheap and the mix drinks were good as well. Overall I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
First visit to this downtown Royal Oak bar & pub. We were looking for dinner and had heard good things about them. Greeted and seated as soon as we entered. They have a patio as well as sidewalk seating accessible by going inside. We sat inside near the open windows. From their extensive beer list with lots of craft beers, we ordered a couple of different Michigan brews on draft. We started with their Caesar salad, which was dismal...tasteless and wet. Then we split a Special Turkey grilled sandwich; it was decent, nothing special, and much smaller than we expected. Nice ambience with a good crowd for a Thursday night in early summer. Lots of TVs to watch sports. With so many restaurant offerings in downtown Royal Oak, I'm not sure we'll be back after this disappointing meal that was not worth what we paid.
Overall disappointed by what could have been a good experience. Waitstaff and bartenders are great. Enjoyable beers and great darts area. The music volume was raised to a frankly dangerously/painfully loud level later in the night. When a request was made to the waitstaff to lower the volume it was stated that the owner raised the volume and they could not change this (not their fault). When owner was asked to slightly lower volume group was told "not a chance".Minimal focus on the customers. Seemed to be more focused on giving tinnitus to their customers.
It's decent comfort food with so.e nice photos of the brat pack/Elvis. The pasta salad should be avoided. The chicken club is above average for a blue collar type diner, what to be expected at a decent pub in England as standard. Service was quick. Patrons were annoying to listen to and ignore as best as possible. Not raucous, just boring.
I came in with a calorie limit and quite a few food restrictions. I was assaulted by a heavy glutenous menu and a predominantly dead animal based offering. The pizza was delicious, but gave me a tummy ache. I'm vegan, but accidentally ate the burger with bacon... It was super tasty until I realized that I was being oppressed by the industrial meat complex. Fantastic food! (If you're not vegan or want to stay healthy) all in all, the costumer is not right here, and I felt pressured into eating delicious non-non-woke food stuffs. #SarahApproved
My waitress was not the mist attentive, our drinks were all sour mix and no whiskey. My friend paid $2 dollars extra for a shot simply because he asked for it over ice! She put our bills together and then handed it to the only girl at the table! We will jot be going back there EVER!
Old female bartender was very rude. I went to order my first drink, a double, and was told no. The bartender said that as a business they don’t serve doubles. I then told her I wanted an extra amount of vodka in my drink for twice the price. She again told me no and brought me a single-mixed drink and a shot of vodka. Completely lazy and unprofessional. I bartend and if I would have treated any customer like that I would be and would fully expect to be reprimanded. The BBQ place across the street is a much better and friendlier establishment with killer southern style fare.
Great bar with a very laid back environment. Bar staff always is great even though there may be too many Spartan fans on Saturdays(:
Nice dive bar in Royal Oak, a city without many good dive bars. Atmosphere is good and has a lot of TVs to watch games.
Drinks. Cool little bar.
