I'm skeptical about these reviews. Needs massive updates, better seating, low prices and better food. I'm from out of town so thankfully I won't accidently eat at this awful place again.

Kept hearing about how FANTASTIC the burgers and Onion rings were so gave it a try. $16 for a dry, tasteless burger and $8 for the greasiest lukewarm onion rings I've ever had. Total bill for the 5 of us was $150 w/o tip. No one was really happy with the food. Beer was cold though and our waitress was nice. Won't go back.

We always loved the burgers and the atmosphere here, but my wife and I stopped going after we had a kid because there were very few tables that could accommodate a high chair and that meant the wait was always crazy long. We recently tried again, getting there at 5 pm sharp to beat the rush. We were so excited when we called ahead to check the wait and the man on the phone took our name in advance! When we got there, the same man greeted us and said he was the owner and they had recently made some changes to make it more family friendly. SCORE! In addition to those changes, the service seemed to have upped their game. It wasn’t bad before, but it was decidedly impressive this time around. All in all, this place is much improved, and it was pretty great to begin with!

I had the Piedmontese hamburger and it was pretty good. My friend had muscles and he said they were excellent. Unfortunately the onion rings were soggy and not very good at all. There is a very extensive beer list.

Ordered 3 medium well burgers. Food has been incorrectly cooked last 3 visits. Place has gone down in quality and will not be going back.

Been wanting to go here for a while. Always heard how great their burgers are. I debated whether or not to leave less than a great review.. But burger was average at best and pretty pricey.Dropped $50 (before tip) on 2 burgers, 1 order of fries, 1 beer and 1 coke..For that money, the food needs to be very very good at a minimum.Sadly, it did not come close to expectations.

This place is awesome. Excellent food, great servers, and really intimate ambiance. The brassiere burger is one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere.

We had the best meal we had in a long time. I ordered the English fish and chips and talk about melting in my mouth. My husband had a burger and he said it was the best one he had ever had. Will definitely go back.

Today was the 1st time I been back to Red Coat in 10 years man did it go down. Ordered my burger Medium Well got it burnt. I loved the Cole slaw back them today it had a chemical taste. I was so disappointed in it. My bill came to 52.00 without the tip. For a burger and a ham sandwich and 1 order of fries. So disappointed I'm not going back. My sister and her husband had simular problems we both ordered Cole slaw and sent it back after taking 1 bite of it. Her burger was burnt but not as bad as mine. We both had separate bill and our waiter put both bills on her card. One mistake after another.

If you are local you know this place. Really good burgers and above average tavern food stuff. It's almost always a wait to get in especially during the weekend. Wait staff is usually top notch. Booth/bench seating is pretty tight (i.e if you are large person get a table) but there is a nice vibe to the place and they don't rush you. Well earned reputation for good grub and atmosphere.
