Ray’s is my favorite place to go for hard scoop ice cream. Cutest aesthetic with very friendly employees. Lines can get pretty long depending on the day but definitely worth it!
I scream for ice cream! Great outdoor seating area with an excellent choice of radio station. Juno and I had a perfect summer night.
Love the ice cream but should make employees with l9ng hanging hair wear hair nets when making customers ice cream. When leaning in cooler to scoop ice cream long hair is hanging over the opening of the ice-cream barrels and when they move hair out of their face not washing their hands. Been going there for years but first time for this happening. Cannot give normal 5 stars for this visit ?
First time at Ray’s! Yummy “Almond Coy”!Too bad they don’t bake their own waffle cones, but I understand the overhead and time factor. If Aretha Franklin liked Ray’s, I like Ray’s! Ask for your 2 samples! Thank You ?
I've been going to ray's with my Grandma since I was a little kid. It's one of my favorite ice cream spots in michigan. Their cinnamon ice cream is delicious, highly recommend!
I am a royal oak all my life and have been a faithful rays customer, but my last experience was alittle off ?the ice cream freezers looked alittle yucky !! Ice cream was soft looking and many choices where empty , not sure what's up but disappointed to see a royal oak stable not there usual great place ?
Ray's is a landmark place. The throwback lunch counter adds an old school feeling. But, the staff gets you in and out quick so you can enjoy the flavors. I'm a big fan of the coconut with little bits of shredded coconut throughout. You won't be disappointed in any selection.
I have always wanted to stop here but would be too tired. My daughter and I decided to stop FINALLY one day and it was well worth the wait. I have been looking for vanilla, not French vanilla, ice cream and was soooo happy that they had it and I was upset with myself for not buying a larger size but I definitely will the next visit.
I have heard so many good things about Ray's over the years, so I finally went there. Maybe, my expectations were too high but I have had creamier ice cream. The portions are large.
