We've been fans of the Kalamata Greek Grill and were happy when they opened their Woodward Avenue location a few years ago. Since then, we've been there for lunch and for dinner, usually doing carry-out. And it's been a go-to place when family and friends are visiting. The Greek Salad is made fresh to order; their Greek salad dressing is really tasty! And the Gyro wrap made with lamb/beef is the best! Making yesterday's lunch the best restaurant meal I've had this week!!
Clearly there is some sort of misunderstanding. Google said they would close at 3pm 1/22/2022 I made it to the restaurant at 2:25pm and the doors were locked. People were still in the restaurant. I do not live near here but wanted to patronize this restaurant because the food is good. oh well I'll give it another shot another time. just if you are going to close at a posted time stand by it. Ps the letter on the door said you would be closing at 3pm also.
I was in the mood for a traditional gyro sandwich and it was perfect!! Very generous portions of meat. They have lots of other yummy things like bowls

This place was outstanding!! Justin and the rest of the crew were very prompt and the food was warm and delicious. Definitely going to come back.
I had the power bowl with chicken on it so healthy for u. The chicken is so tasty.
I got my son a gyro sandwich which he didn't like, opened it to give him the inside, and I find A HAIR !! by that time we were done with our food because we were starving and didn't wanna make another stop. Showed it to the girl that was working she immediately trashed it and asked if i wanted another one, but i didn't, she was suppose to give me a refund and she didn't ! This is worth to report! First time going there and definitely the last. The place was not that clean , the food was tasteless and cold ! Very disappointing !
We regularly stop by for a gyro bowl. We opt for Detroit style and it’s always delicious! The chips with zesty feta is excellent. The service is always top notch too.
They Never keep to posted hours. Close when ever they feel like it. Even when you call they may close by the time you get there. Not a reliable place to depend on for food.
Giving it only four stars, let me tell you why. The food was excellent, the service not so much. The service was bad enough to generate a two or three star review. However with the covid struggles of finding good (or any) employees right now its four stars. I will definitely eat there again and hopefully the service will improve.
