One of the best lunch spots in royal oak, hands down! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so incredibly friendly. Do yourself a favor and try the chicken shawarma fries… it’s seriously one of the best dishes I’ve had in royal oak. Their salads are also huge and super fresh. All around, a great spot and I’m so happy that I stumbled across it. Now I order it once a week usually!
The food was good, the beef was delicious and soft, next time I will not going to order garlic sauce for my salad it was strong
Kal & Anne are just the sweetest most modest & talented couple. In general, I eat at Kals Bowls about once a week. I've never been disappointed. The food is beyond fabulous, the seasoning, quality and flavors are always perfect. Highly recommend & encourage you try it & promise you'll be hooked.
Gem of a restaurant inside the RO Farmers Market. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and quick. I like that you can order online so it is super convenient. The prices are quite reasonable too- a wrap, soup, chips and hummus plus tip was only $15.
I visited Kal's for the first time and it was so good! Everything was super fresh and very tasty. I tried the falafel, and it was really good with the garlic and mango sauces. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl with rice, pickled turnip and garlic sauce and the greek salad. It was very good. Highly recommended!
Love this place! Food is always on point and fresh, generous portions and the prices are incredible. This is my favorite place for lunch, and sometimes dinner. Also the owners are awesome and friendly people. You can find them on various delivery platforms as well!
Awesome hidden gem with friendly service— I ordered shawarma fries, lentil soup, and the falafel bowl. Will hope to be back every week along with the farmer’s market.
Delicious fresh food! A couple times now I've had the chicken cream chop bowl, which is nothing like what I would expect based on the name - a breaded chicken cutlet! You can't go wrong! With some grilled and some pickled veggies on the side or rice... I've been making it my Saturday routine to stop by and take out.
What a nice surpriseI was driving On 11 mile going to downtown Royal Oak to eat and I saw a sign it said KAL’s Lunch Bowl now open Tuesday through Sunday. I Thought it was odd because farmers market only open on the weekends so I decide to go check it out I parked on the west side by the police station and I walked in it took me a second to figure out where they at in the North East corner of the building. I check their menu on their website the beef shawarma bowl looked good to me. I ordered it with rice and their house salad of course garlic sauce and pickled turnips. When I got it looks good same as in the picture except they give me the salad on the side with the dressing on the side for carry out convenience not many restaurant’s pictures look better than what you get but this is nothing compare to the taste of everything!! I got I literally think I just found the best hole in the wall fresh and absolutely delicious.
I love this restaurant! So good, I got the House salad with beef and I added feta, honestly everything was great. The owners are amazing, so unbelievably nice and helpful!! I will keep on going back! ❤❤❤
