I like them for the daily specials and when I need some consistent BBQ. Though I do try other things I usually am a fan of the Rib Tips (ask for the old school) and get salad corn and fries to enjoy. Service is usually great though in the years going you always get that one or two. Overall been a family dinner for 5 or more of us for a really long time since they opened.
This is my favorite BBQ restaurant it has a rusic look to the restaurant all kinds of neat decor around , my favorite Meal to order is the slab of ribs which comes with a few sides like the cornbread muffin or baked beans along with their BBQ sauce they are known for, Hands down the best BBQ restaurant in my opinion
Totally disgusted with my Thursday special. I bought 3 meals. I called it in. I drove from my job at Henry Ford Hospital, W. Grand Blvd because the one nearest my home is closed.Many issues before I could pay for/leave with my food (which I called attention to, in There favor not mine)I bought 3 separate meals. For my coworker, Mom & Me.When I say dry to burnt was the variety, not kidding.I picked up the meals ahead of the May 19th 2022, Opera, Malcolm X.The first Malcolm X Day in Detroit announced by Mayor Duggan prior to the Opera.Once we came home to enjoy our meal.....Soo very upsetting...I'm upset about the meat, I can't even Speak on the very small and short changed sides.

I'm not sure where some of these bad reviews are coming from. The brisket sandwich is delicious. I always get the baked beans, greens and corn bread muffin. All of it is so good and have a great flavor. I love this place.

Been using Famous Dave's seasoning for years but this is the first time ever eating there. Very delicious and tasty foods, especially the burnt ends. The ribs and rub tips were both very good. The only reason for the loss of 1 star is because we found the ribs and tips a but chewy in places. Will definitely come back for some more burnt ends.
Ordered the 2 meat dinner plate X2. Spent $25 a person and it's definitely not worth the $50 I paid. That alot of meat and the sides aren't that big Way too overpriced for the amount of food you get per dinner plate. The taste was alright. My rib tips were burnt and hard to chew. Wouldn't order hear again.
Call in order, picked up the order while inside the restaurant and I showed the check out person the contents and was asked if I wanted my order redid. The catfish that I buy all the time was mushy and falling apart and there were three strips that were firm and the rest were broken pieces of fish no longer than a thumb. The fries were all right. For the price of the fish and chips and the tip which I chose the 15%, I was disappointed. I was giving no napkins and no utensils.
Perfect for Sunday Dinner. Found a great place with great food. The take out staff is very nice and great with the details of your order making sure you have all you need. When you find a great place you tend to be loyal. I am now a loyal customer
