They took us last minute which was nice of them. The manager was really nice and took care of our drinks. We order with a young waiter who seemed in a rush which I understand since we were last one probably ordering. The food was ok, I ordered stake med/rear it was med/well and they literally drop the jar of salt. Stake was inedible, I tried wiping the salt off but it just was to much.2 stars for service and rest of the food
All the food was very good. Staff was great as well. I had the quesadilla burger and it was a lot better than expected. Juicy. Drinks had a strong kick to them. Always a good experience here.
We wanted to enjoy it, we really did. However, not once, not twice, but three times in one sitting, we received someone else's order. When we finally got OUR order, one of our parties steak well done, when we had ordered Medium Rare. Not wanting to make a big deal about it, we weren't even going to say anything, but we were asked directly if there was an issue so we responded truthfully. When the replacement steak came out, it was legitimately raw. By that point we had been there a LONG time were just exasperated and wanted to leave, and decided to grill up the raw steak ourselves at home.
My kid had a half day off school so we came here for lunch since I was craving wonton tacos and my kid always wants mac n cheese and apple sauce for lunch.There's nothing special about the mac n cheese. Kraft blue box. My kid devoured it and I was happy not to cook.Service was very good for lunch. My only complaint was my tacos were a bit over cooked but still edible.
Food was excellent, drinks even better. The 2 servers were attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly when ordered. Only .. issue was the uncarpeted floors and bathroom floor was slick as ice. Apparently the staff mop the floors with same mop from kitchen, from all the grease buildup. Bathroom could have been cleaner but I've seen (and used) worse.
The appetizers are amazing, LOVED the honey BBQ boneless wings and spinach artichoke dip! The service was awesome as well! Even my picky mother liked it and was glad we went there, and that's saying something, haha!
Omg I love the bartenders!!! So I found out that they give discounts to garbage men police officers firefighters and 1st responders so if you sit at the bar and ask and provide them with your Badge or ID there you go you're welcome.
This is the worst Applebee's when it comes to service and the way they make you wait to be seated while tables sit there empty. They stand around while customers are made to wait excessive amount of time they end up walking out. Then certain managers and wait staff being shame to the Applebee's name by further talking out loud in a very profane unprofessional manner about customers who have complained or walked out. The manager lady cuddles problematic employees and supports their rude behaviors while ignoring customer complaints. Empty tables but customer wait for tables. Not good management. The majority of this Applebee's location ( Gratiot near Masonic) needs to be terminated for such grotesque behavior towards customers. Tables and bar seats are left empty, dirty and they serve in a nasty way, my drink was slammed down spilling it without any apology. I left before I took a sip in disgust. I don't want to attribute it to discrimination but to poor training poor management and bad attitude. I have contacted corporate with the matter as this is not the first time this has happened not only to me but to other customers as well. I will not visit this location ever again and advise against anyone else visiting that location as the host had a smart mouth and the manager likewise if you complain. As far as Applebee's the 12 mile and Van Dyke location has the right attitude and service. Wait time is only about 5-8 minutes, if crowded, food and service is great.
My waitress Yolanda was an absolute sweetheart and was on the ball she was polite officiant and all around deserves a raise... my bartender I didn't catch her name but she was amazing as well made the perfect drinks and gave me exactly what I asked for. I had the ribeye steak. I asked for it medium rare and who I was with asked for rare and they weren't cooked correct but overall the meal was still really good and I'd definitely go back.
Luanne was fantastic and the amount of food that we had for the 2 for $30 was quite reasonable. The $5 drink special and half off appetizers was a bonus. Those onion rings....yummy and crunchy. Will return after our great experience.
