Love Love Papparoti! This is a fantastic cafe. Their coffee buns are amazing and delicious. Everything was fantastic. They also have Turkish coffee and tea. I love everything about this place. These buns are super delicious and I have no idea why. Also the Karak tea has a unique flavor that goes great with it.
Had high expectations from this place judging from the in-store pictures, menu and reviews. However was rather disappointed.Went there at 5pm. I don't know if the buns are fresher in the morning or what but mine was definitely not as soft as others describe and definitely not tasty.What's more is, my ignorance, I thought my order of Berries Delight would be prepped with strawberries inside the bun like some pancakes. Wasn't the case. The so called sauce is just a drizzle for appeal. Name is very deceiving as I was definitely not delighted...Got Caramel Latte, mind you Medium size, depicted in attachment, who calls that a medium size in US and was totally dissatisfied with the taste and size.I paid $16.03 tip included and it's definitely not worth it. People were getting takeout. Either ours was a dud or it's not our cup of tea...Yes, from the picture, you'd think it's delicious, but it definitely wasn't. Sorry...
I just left the Rochester Hills location. The coffee and bun were delicious. I will return. However, if I endure the same rude young lady I will not come back to this location. She was nowhere to be found when I first entered. I did wait about 5 minutes before calling out “hello.” That wasn’t the issue for me but it must have been for her. I think I interrupted her duties in the back. She was very unfriendly. Never greeted me, no smile, nothing. I paid for my food. Thanked her three times from the time I completed my order and received my food. She did not reply with a you’re welcome. Icing on the cake- when I left she was working right next to the door and never offered a “have a nice day.” If you’re in this industry you’ve got to have some basic friendliness. Maybe she was having a bad day. I’ll try again- but only once more.
Absolutely Delicious! We had the Mona Lisa and the Cinna-Bun which were both amazing! A unique dessert that did not disappoint. We enjoyed the dessert with a hot cup of black coffee which was well brewed. The staff was very nice and kind in answering all of our questions, as it was our first time here. Will definitely be going back!
Sorry for the brutal review. Visited on a weekday afternoon to unwind. Bad coffee! Paid full price for a latte, first time ever to get a coffee without a latte art! Milk was 1%, no option to get whole milk. Coffee was "thin".Then ordered Tea. Same - overpowering Cardamom flavor (overwhelming, not balanced favor).Bun was over fermented and tasted sour. Each and every coffee plate and cup were chipped or cracked!! Requested a espresso cup to share with my friend. Cup was dirty as hell. How does this place even maintain sanitization and hygiene? I went back and asked for a fresh one. The girl with glasses put the dirty cup back on the milk frother machine and gave me a fresh one ???.This place is a disaster if looked beyond the ambience and heavily decorated bun/cakes.Long way to go Papa Roti. Amazing tea and the bun was literally divine, I just went with a combo and for 7 dollars it's definitely worth it.
This cafe has a nice ambience with different seating choices (table, bar, sofa). Serves signature bun with different toppings. Serves coffee and tea (karak). Has small selection of sandwiches for lunch.
Finally stopped in with my family. The buns were so yummy. My caramel macchiato was so delicious. I shared the Nuts for Nutella with my daughter. We ordered some buns to go on our way out. We will def be stopping here more often. Can't wait to try the Mona Lisa:)
