First time patron. Ran across this place while driving on Dequindre. Chicken was freshly cooked and really good. Barbecue ribs were good as well. Puts you in mind of Chicken Shack but better. Food prices are average, but the food is worth it. Will definitely be back.
Food was good, but they serve you without plates to eat on. When I asked for a plate, I was told they don't give plates out, but was given a fry boat as "a courtesy". Owner is cheap and grumpy. Not worth going back in my opinion. Avoid.
It used to be 5 stars... Crazy price hike... forget the small skinny fries, they're cold before you get out of the parking lot and they're worse if you try to reheat and if you want sauce for your wings you'll have to pay.
Been going here for over 30 years. Nice crispy chicken and I love their fall off the bone ribs. I wasn't as impressed with their fried fish, but other then that I've always enjoyed their food. I even Luke their onion rings cold, so good.
I love North Shack Chicken and I was willing to put up with their tiny drumsticks and tiny thighs when the price for 16 pieces was $32. I just picked up my last order. It cost me $42 and the pieces are still tiny. No thanks folks. I'll make it myself now. Pure Robbery at that price
I got the fried mushrooms and the cod snack lunch. Both were very good.This place is no frills, but looks clean. And the staff were friendly and did a great job.
Customer Service is horrible when you’re not allowed to go in the inside drive thru only. Ordered Rib Snack $16 was asked to pull up food was not ready brought food to car without utensils or napkins. Went to the door and windows to request utensils and staff looked at me like I was an intruder! How embarrassing have my food not able to eat it with utensils. Wow. Get it together NORTH SHACK!!!!!!!!!
Been a loyal customer for years and the chicken has always been on par. The staff was friendly and helpful with options. I Recommend getting broasted potatoes with extra butter as they seem to have changed their potatoes and they’re a bit dry compared to previous years but besides that, they are way better than chicken shack in quality, quantity and customer service.
I was disappointed with my food yesterday and I followed up with the manager to let her know. My chicken tenders were hard. We frequent this establishment so it came as quite a surprise. I suggested that they provide me with a free meal the next time I returned to the restaurant. I was told that they had not received any other complaints about the tenders, therefore, I needed to return to the restaurant to show/share my concerns. I returned to the restaurant and the manager agreed that the food quality was poor. She had my replacement meal ready for me however, I declined. I will NEVER eat another meal at North Shack. We have been supporting this business for years. It should not matter that I was the only person to have complained about the tenders that evening. I am a customer and I was not satisfied.
Constantly having issues when I pick up my husband food from there. Staff is rude and very disrespectful. They don't pay attention to their drive threw line at all, waiting 30 minutes to pick up our order we reordered. Blame it their customers not pasting the sensor, instead of fixing it or adding a camera!!
