One of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long while. The food was tasteless and way, way overpriced. The service was poor (and yes, they had plenty of servers). The only thing it had going for it was the weather for outdoor dining - and the restaurant had nothing to with that. But the place was packed with Michiganders who think that if they pay a lot for a meal - it MUST be good! Fools. So many, and I mean many, Italian restaurants that have wonderful food and are less expensive within 10 miles of La Collina.
I can think of many restaurants I could spend well over $100 for for the 2 of of us for dinner (no alcohol) and enjoy it much more than this! This was an extremely overpriced, under quality and tasteless meal and overall, a terrible dining experience. My pasta dish tasted like the sauce was made from Campbell's Cream of Tomato Soup. The service was poor with our primary server was preoccupied with only one table while we were nearly ignored. We weren't offered grated cheese, fresh ground pepper, etc. and had to flag down someone to get anything. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. I will never go back and suggest you avoid it.
The patio looked lovely & inviting, the staff were friendly and almost too attentive. There was like be music, but it was subtle. We wanted to love the food, but it just missed the mark for the quality of restaurant. The crispy cauliflower had no crisp at all, if anything it was soggy, but the lemon sauce was pleasant. The lemon chicken was dry and rubbery, with four tiny pieces of new potato that curled in on themselves because they were so over cooked. The lemon sauce was ok, but felt like a separate entity to the chicken, the two did not flow together. It was busy and clearly popular with the more affluent crowd. It had so many touches that made it feel authentic, but serving grated Parmesan from a bowl covered with Saran-wrap let the side down. They have tried hard and were lovely, but the food definitely did not impress and we didn’t even look at the dessert menu which is unheard of for us. Thank you for trying so hard.
Great! Loved the food and loved the drinks and great service
Great food and service!
Service was great Short grill cook or something so it took quite a while like over 60 mins for entrees Black grouper entree dish was no more than 4oz For a filet whitefish thatâs incredibly small for an entree
SO friendly and attentive. Our first time here . . . we will definitely be back.
Reservation at 7.30. Did not receive food until 9 pm. Had 4 different servers. There for 60 minutes no bread served. Asked for bread and did not arrive.
Always so enjoyable to have dinner and drinks here whether with family or friends! Definitely a Top pick in Rochester!
$217 dollars later for 2 and we were to say the least…unsatisfied. Small portions, dry squid ink risotto, $12 for one very small side dish of spinach. I couldn’t understand my waiter and he apparently misunderstood me as well. My tiny piece of salmon for $45 was cooked perfectly. (It looks bigger in the photo but it’s barely 3oz) There will not be a return visit.
