Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, 12:20pm. Place was pretty dead. Service was slow, but understandable these days. Ordered the porterhouse steak, I was pretty disappointed by the quality of meat. It had a lot of gristle and fat throughout. My mashed potatoes were almost impossible to eat with the fork provided, they were almost like soup. My daughter had the ribeye and the meat looked like better quality but she wasn't a fan of the SUPER charred flavoring. Almost like a liquid smoke taste. It was also very noticeable in my steak. We will be sticking to Texas Roadhouse when we are in the mood for steak. Too bad the Portage location isn't open for lunch.
Came in for mother's day dinner. Was told wait would be 30-45 minutes and was seated in about 25. This is when things got different. We ordered drinks and appetizers just fine, but when we ordered dinner we were told that the kitchen was backed up so it would be a significant wait. That turned into about an hour and a half wait. The entire time though, our waiter Ethan was checking on us, getting us refills, being an overall excellent waiter. We did find out at one point that they were training an entire new cook staff other than one person. We also heard from who I assume was the manager telling another table that there was a high number of people coming in, deciding they didn't want to wait for a table and ordering to go. Both of these are the reason that it took so long to get our food. Once we did get our food, other than my steak being medium well instead of medium, which if they are training a new staff is understandable, everything was delicious.
Me and my family have been going to Logan's since I was a teen. Even though prices have gone up since then it's still great. I have rarely run into any negativity here. Service and food is always quality.
Good food and service and no waiting
Not my idea of a nice meal. I just feel like we were judged from the way we looked. No one greeted us or acknowledged us when we walked in. The server did a great job serving us. The meal was not worth the price. Was my mom's favorite place but we won't be back. Just cuz the way we look don't mean we don't tip.
Very long wait. Food was Luke warm and not very good. Steak was tough and cold. Mash potatoes were cold. Shrimp was cool (temp). Crab cakes were not tasty. Even the water had a funny taste. We will not go back. Servers were nice, but service was almost non existence.
Did not expect a lot but at least was expecting to receive my rolls before my main dish. I asked multiple times for EXTRA butter but was disappointed when my bread FINALLY came with only one butter. Kept reminding the waitress to refill my drink but it was not refilled until I was already done with my meal. I felt like I should've just brought my own butter and drink to consume time.
Multiple time customer. Since Covid, like everywhere else, staffing is a challenge as well as capacity. Wait time was not horrible and was greeted at the door. Table service was lack luster, server was inconsistent and only checked on us a couple times. Few minor mistakes on the order and took forever to get cashed out waiting for her to come to our table. She was very nice and friendly when she was with us. Rolls were fresh and excellent as always, the dinner left something to be desired though. My steak was slightly over cooked and server never asked or offered to get steak sauce or ketchup for my kids. Overall, we will done here again as it's one of our favorites but hopefully it improves.
Average, not much better then Waffel House steaks.Sides were a bit below average and service kinda sucks. Not because there weren't nice or polite or informative. Just understaffed and overworked and most likely underpaid.If you want more bang for your buck and food that is way above average and better pricing the this mom n pop so called steak house.I suggest you take the longer drive into another city and eat at Longhorn Steak House.They are the bomb. I'm not just saying that it really is.Amazing five star food at reasonable prices.Trust me you will be amazed at Long Horn Steakhouse. ? ? ? ? ?
