Really good experience overall. Simple menu of mostly tacos and chicken. Opted for the thighs which were good but not spectacular. The breading and flavor was decent but the chicken itself was a bit stringy. Kimchi fries and pork taco were good additions.Clean and large space. You serve yourself by ordering up front and getting your own water and utensils which makes for a straightforward customizable experience.
Slightly disappointed. I love Korean BBQ so I had high hopes which may not have been fair. My wife asked for Tofu in the BBQ box which they were happy to accommodate which is appreciated! Portion sizes are very large, easily split a BBQ box between two. I ate about half of the bulgogi box. I asked for recommendations on what to order but was only informed their fryer was down so no fried foods. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.Overall the restaurant needs a deep cleaning. A lot of touch surfaces felt tacky or sticky. The spicy mayo and spicy sauce bottles were disgusting to hold.I’ll return one more time to try wings and tacos. If unsuccessful than thus place will be off my radar altogether.
Delicious food and great service! They have lots of different fun and interesting Korean street food options and the chicken was great! Think of it more as ordering several options and sharing rather than traditional entrees.
Amazing food with great service, will be returning!
The food was excellent I definitely recommend trying . Should have taken a before photo lol
Tried Kimchi box for the first and I was not disappointed. They definitely lived up to the hype. Food was made fresh and service was excellent. The KFC was fire got both wings and popcorn chiken. The tacos were delicious and the bibimbap was top notch. I will definitely be going back.
My most frustrating experience with Kimchi Box is they never get their web menus and paper menus consistent. I get excited about seeing an item I want to try but then can't order it somehow. Still. I love the many options they offer and I am enjoying each new try. When they fix their ordering system I will be a very happy customer.
Ordered pickup and found no silverware or chopsticks. Second time this happened. Called restaurant to let them know and they were like..whatever. That was the least of problems till i found a piece of metal strip in bibimbap. Horrible! Used to be one of my favorite but Not Going Back!
Korean fried chicken joints seem to have been popping up all over the metro Detroit area recently and Kimchi Box is definitely my favorite thus far!We had ordered the spicy, soy garlic, and honey butter wings. All were delicious and had a great crunch. We had also ordered kimchi fries as well as the Korean corndogs which were also very tasty!Needless to say, I will be coming again soon
A quite nice Korean Street food place in the area. The popcorn chicken was nice - pretty authentic with good flavors. Tteokbokki was average. Yet with the chicken, was a nice combination between sweet, savory and spicy flavors. Tacos were surprisingly expensive - but the portions were understandable. Personally the fish tacos was a huge miss for me. Would recom.I this place as more of a snack with beer place than a proper dinner place. But overall, the food was nice and would recommend!
