Website prices are way off. It says 9$ for the regular corned beef sandwich. They charge 12$ now. Asked for it not grilled and it was grilled. Called them to ask why I was charged 18.18$ for the meal and the lady said I can’t hear you and instantly hung up. I’ll stick to going to The Breadbasket from now on.

First time Visiting Bode’s Restaurant. Charming Original 1950’s Decor. The waitress was very professional & attentive. I’ve had fish & chips at dozens of restaurants in Metro Detroit. I can honestly say Bode’s Fish & Chips is the BEST FISH & CHIPS IVE EVER HAD. My husband ordered the Country Fried Steak & mashed potatoes! Excellent Did I mention real mash potatoes & grave. My new favorite restaurant.

I LOVE corned beef. I used to like Brodies.I feel out of love with previous owners. I had great hopes for new ownership of Bodies. Unfortunately, the wait staff is untrained; does not know how to answer phone -- probably because the younger staff are no longer familiar with telephone Etiquette vs texting on a mobile device. The staff had little clue the menu; What items come with what. what hours breakfast is served.Sandwich prices have increased; I am okay with that. The Tanker has extra meat with up charge. I am okay with that too. To add fries and cold slaw, called Deluxe is $5.00. I am even okay with that. I AM NOT OK with cold slaw coming in same 2 oz container as thousand island dressing and few fries thrown in top of sandwich as an after thought. And, missing corned beef 9 oz vs 6 oz-- received 6 oz for the price of 9 oz. So My sandwich with fries with mussing meat, cost $16 plus tip. I seriously believe restaurants think we customers don't notice. I was so frustrated after the 3rd time this happened, I went home and weighed the meat on a scale. This is false advertising. I was not going to make a review and let it go, but it got under my skin.Missing food..I use carry out. Every single time I've used carry out; food items I PAID extra DELUXE CHARGE are missing: fries, cold slaw; drink. No fork, napkins. And, God forbid, you ask server to put the thousand island on the sandwich instead of on the side, you get an argument. It's not as if I'm asking for the money; I don't have time or a place in my car to put thousand island dressing on my sandwich ... I'm on the road an eat between appointments. And, isn't this what was once called customer service? I'm experiencing the death of customer service in eating establishments. So, I'll just make my lunch, and skip the aggravation and not have to write a complaint about my own cooking.PS I worked as server years ago at a place called Bill Knapps. We had to memorize the menu; customer was king. I'm not asking for wait staff to memorize the menu, just know what's on it. and I'm neither a king of queen, I guess I expect simple things like respect, civil decorum, and the items I paid for in the bag. Is this too much to ask? Apparently, yes.

This place is Absolutely Awesome. Our beautiful waitress, Olivia Great Service ?! Not only did she keep our beverages full, she recommended menu items that were very delicious! The cooks, Cass & Jonny were Awesome as well, the corned beef mm mm good!! The strawberry waffle, had just the right amount of crunch on the outside and softness in the inside.I will definitely visit again with even more of my family and friends!!Thanks so much for the Wonderful Experience ??

Great set-up for St Patrick's Day. Ordering was easy and food was prepared fast. Ordered two corn beef and cabbage dinners. Also came with potatoes and carrots and they even included a slice of the bread. There was plenty of food and we had enough for the next days lunch. Great job.

Really surprised on St Paddy's day how thin and awful the corn beef was. I had been looking forward to it all day as I eat here often and it's usually thick and very filling. Super disappointed as they couldn't handle the rush!!

If you are looking for a local treasure of good home cooked, no frills yummy food, come here! Make sure you read the old menu to learn about the history and walk around to look at some of the pictures on the wall. My tuna melt was just is delicious the next day as a leftover!

Always clean,friendly,&tasty. Great food,great prices

We had Reuben sandwiches and they were very good. Good service, nice casual setting and great food. The only thing, it would've been nice to have a cold beer. They don't serve alcohol... not a deal breaker, but would've been nice.
