IHOP as always best place to visit with family. Prompt service and good food.
Greg at the Novi location was absolutely excellent! He was attentive took very good care of us.
I took my daughter here today to take out 2 orders. My birthday stack and she had a free stack as well, we couldn't believe this location didn't have take out! I haven't eaten in a resturant in a long time and not about to do so in a pandemic! Plus I was in a hurry! I've never heard of a resturant that didn't offer take out! Crazy!
The service was horrible. Went in on Mother's Day and the waitress was slow and rude. My pop had too much carbonation and even told the waitress and she still charged us for the drink. The food we ordered was not how we had told her we wanted at all and of course no one around to get it changed. Then ordered a full order of pancakes with sausage and bacon to go and had to wait 25 minutes to get it and that was after I had to go find the manager and say something to him, then when the waitress did bring it she told us it was the cooks fault cause he was newer and very slow at his job which I'm sorry but myself as being in customer service that is not what you say or appropriate for a business. It was the worst $75.00 I have ever spent at a restaurant. Definitely will drive somewhere else even if it's a further drive if we decide we want IHOP again
How does this establishment how so many good reviews when I hear of so many horrible ones!!?I decided to bring my family there for a late lunch. We love IHOP!!! Probably one of the worst mistakes I made. The place wasn’t crowded and they took forever to even greet us. Because we were talking and catching up we quickly realized the host didn’t ask for our drink orders so we waited until she was in eye reach and got her attention. She got our drink orders (seem like she was annoyed) our pretty quickly… after that we didn’t see her for another 30 minutes. We had hungry children and also a pregnant woman. When she took our orders she was very rude and unprofessional. Needless to say we waited another 45 minutes to get food and the host didn’t bother coming over to replenish our drinks. This place has always been slow but add unprofessional on top of it!!!
People who are complaining about the short staff clearly don't know how hard it's getting to hire new people. This is happening across all industries. When we went, I noticed that this place was short staffed, despite that the person who asked us to wait was very courteous. Then a supervisor came and took us to a table, she then said I will be your waitress today as we don't have enough people. Yeah, it took some time for us to get the food, but the supervisor really handled the situation very well.
Food was meh. Not as good as it use to be. The Swedish pancakes were heavy and dry. I liked when they served it with lingonberry butter I liked food before pandemic. And where is the potatoes soup ? Bring it back
Went have breakfast there were no server on site so had to order a take out. Waited 30 min. Get to my car why was the food cold everything noheat on any of it l refuse to argue with the staff. They really need to shut this place all the way down. You could even give me a breakfast at this point smh.

The lead server “Margaret” in the dining room is doing a great job also, she guides and coaches the younger waitresses nicely, and is always smiling. Thanks for today’s nice experience!
