Our waitress was Super sweet and nice (Clara). Always on top of things and never had to wait for things. Whole party spent about $105... left her at least a $40 tip.
This is a very popular restaurant that has been around for a long time. Their chicken is one of the favourites. I had a tuna sandwich with a hot fudge cake and it was delicious! My mom had a Reuben sandwich so filling she could only eat half. She got the strawberry shortcake to go with the biscuits and she said it was delicious!
We chose this place at random, and I was very happy with our choice. It has a nice old diner feel to it, everything we ordered was delicious. The waitress was very attentive, very friendly, and had great suggestions. If we ever pass through this part of Michigan again, there is no doubt we'll be returning here!
Top notch.
We had an okay time here. My kids and I were waited on by a friendly waitress. She complemented my daughter's hair. Another friendly waitress came over and also talked about her hair. Our food took a while to arrive. I ordered a hot turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes. It was really good..... straight out of my childhood. My oldest got a Reuben that was good but came with the world's weirdest dipping sauce. My youngest got the chicken tenders. They looked like they came frozen out of a bag. She said they were stringy? Anyway....the manager took them off the bill. That was super nice.
So yummy! We had Lori as a server and she was great. She kept my mom's coffee filled and checked on us enough to make us feel welcomed but not so much to be intrusive. We both had omelets which were great. They even did as I asked and made my hash browns and toast light. Such an enjoyable experience!
Onion rings are hand battered and soooo good!!
We came in to have a nice sit down dinner with our daughter home from college. We were immediately greeted when we entered by a very nice young lady named K'yanna. I appreciated how she carried herself and smiled along the way to our table and also chatted with our daughter and made her feel welcome (they seem close in age)Valerie was our waitress and made the experience a very good one. She was friendly and attentive and offered the perfect amount of helpful information about menu items to suit our needs and requests. Our dinner took a little longer to cook as my husband ordered the fried chicken so we respected the wait. Our appetizer, the sampler platter, came out within 5-7 minutes though and was quite tasty! I had the fish basket. Wasn't a huge fan of the tilapia they used. The batter was quite doughy. I chose not to mention that at the location, understandably just not for me as others in the restaurant ordered it and I over heard many stating the loved it. My daughter had a cup of soup and enjoyed! Prices are very reasonable and the staff here are great! Coke products tasted great and every thing looked very clean around us. Will try again with other menu options.
Definitly not ordering or going to this Russ' ever again!! I spent about 60$ for food that was basically like slop. The burger was sideways and a complete mess. Literally 1 shred of lettuce, asked for no tomato...got tomato. The other "olive" burger had probably 5 olives, again..1-2 shreds of lettuce and the fried mushrooms were about the size of a dime. Definitly disappointed. We always go to the North Muskegon one. Will definitly be going to that one from now on.
Had a large part of about 25 had 2 servers...halfway through only had one server....food was ok but alot of it came out late and kids had wait long time (they were 5 should have come first) probably due to lack of staff right now just wish it could have been better but thanks for trying
