My wife and I used to go here when we would want to go out but didn't know where to go .As our divorce approaches its finalization next week Friday I invited her out to eat here I gave her the time and explained to the waiter /waitress party of 1 maybe 2 . My waitress understood I may get stood up and I explained my wife and I are seperated and I invited her to dinner tonight and she may or may not show . She didn't show however when I asked for a box when the box was brought out to me they gave me a desert on the house . I don't know if it was just a decision on the waitress or all of them but I appreciated it . So ... thank you .
We had breakfast here. I always get nervous when trying breakfast without researching the place first. This place did not disappoint.Also, we ordered Milkshakes. The best on the planet. I swear it.
Must have caught them on a bad day. Used to be a decent place but the prices have really headed up and the quantity AND quality have decreased. The sandwich I got (been eating the same one since the late 1970s) must have decreased in size by about 40 percent. Very little flavor in a $9.00 sandwich …..what’s up with that? Not a good experience.
Living in Holland, this is a nostalgic local chain and we would frequent often in the 70's and 80s'. As more eateries appeared we frequented less. With this said, we decided to go retro and didn't have the wait for a table like its earlier days. Have no idea why we haven't been back sooner! Hamburger, Chicken dinner was amazing. The have the BEST onion rings and fried mushrooms ever! The staff was great. Food hot, and clean. We will be back soon.

Your children can’t have lunch unless you buy an adult meal. So after 4wks on and off getting my kid lunch from here I was told I can’t. Shame that for discrimination against the younger population.
They have the most awesome salad bar so if your friends are vegan they can eat here too! 5 different soups on the salad board too and you get a baked potato, they have a full menu with dinner also and sandwiches if you prefer, prices are very reasonable, great family restaurant.
Food was not bad and some workers were not too bad either, however how the do your bill is rather confusing. It will be a while before I go back. I have to give them credit for at least being cleaner than all the other Rus's restaurants on Henry street and grand haven are really dirty and have a horrible smell to the place. Not looking forward to eating in a y Rus's restaurant anytime soon. You would think during covid that restaurants and fast food places would clean up. But no, the carpets smell horribly, bathrooms really need deep cleaning, no warm water in some places tables, chairs ,windows and doors are so filthy.
Great fried chicken. Consistently good food and good service. Everything you want from a diner.
First time ever eating here. Great local chain for comfort food. Restaurant has a small but delicious soup and salad bar. Restaurant was very clean today, and service was friendly. Recommend the onion rings, chopped steak with mashed potatoes with their delicious beef gravy, and this is not a food anyone really ever suggests but our family really enjoyed the apple sauce! Great job today, we'll be back!
