Very good service! Great food! A hidden gem. Worth the visit.
Had a 5 day trip from metro Detroit to muskegon with the family. Meals weren't great but Hanks Tavern was our saving grace the last night there. My wife and daughter each got the surf n turf (only complaint was the lettuce was too wet), my oldest son got a custom burger he loved and I got the Hanks Orginal (pictured here) and it was so flavorful.The prices were very affordable, especially compared to other restaurants that weren't even half way good.The service was top notch and seating both inside and out seemed good.We go to Muskegon every year and Hanks will be a must go for us (as is Handsome Hobo).
First time here. Had their seafood nachos and then lemon chunk ice cream for dessert. OMG, all of it was superb! Service was top notch and friendly and food was fantastic. Dined on a Wednesday evening but they still had a good crowd. If you're going on a weekend you should probably go early to get a table. Bon Appétit
We stopped here for food after going to Michigan's Adventure my friend had a strawberry walnut salad he said it was delicious my other friend had to barbecue chicken plate it was a lot of food and he said it was great my other friend had the swedish meatballs and the baked potato soup the soup was a little thin but she said the flavor was good we love the swedish meatballs they were great the gravy was really nice. I had the chicken wings and fries they were okay chicken taste like it was just dumped into a fryer and then tossed in the sauce no seasoning or batter. The service was good. I'd return.
Me and my girlfriend always love trying new places around west MI and let me tell you this is one you don't wanna miss great food and a great atmosphere my burger was excellent and she got the cubin panini that was also very good. The cherry fandango beer was just like a fresh made cherry pie very good!!!
I like the fish tacos, other food seems to be good, and affordable. Better then the average food service restaurant.
Is this restaurant my family enjoys their burritos. This restaurant is also a bar, and sometimes can be very loud. So far so good and all the waitresses that we've had. They always do good on takeout also but never had a problem.

My fiancee and I went for a date night to Hank's Tavern, we fell in love immediately! The atmosphere was excellent, the food was delicious, and everything was well worth the price! The waitress was awesome, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but she did excellent work. We will absolutely be returning, and based on what we saw, I have no doubt anyone else would take great care of us. 10/10 experience for us
First steak dinner out in forever due to the latest Covid surge. Wonderful sirloin special and the absolute best red wine selection in town. New Malbec is the BOMB! Lydia, our server, was very attentive, pleasant and concerned with our dining experience.My goodness! Where else would you get Swedish meatballs?!?! Love trying unusual menu items!
