what a nice local place with delicious food!
We stopped in for a drink and were planning on going elsewhere for dinner. We sat at the bar and were very impressed with the bartenders and their passion for craft cocktails. Lovely environment, very relaxed and truly a speakeasy feel. As we chatted with the staff we decided to stay for dinner. Wow, food was as great as the cocktails. We'll be back! BTW, the pizzas looked amazing, will try those next time.
Capone’s Speakeasy & Pizzeria has delicious food and great drinks. Their service has always been friendly and attentive whenever we’ve visited, and the atmosphere is sweet. We’ve tried several different things off the menu, and we’ve never been disappointed. Definitely recommend!
Visited on 4/29.Did not have reservations so there was about an hour or so wait to be seated. We were able to grab a drink downstairs so that was nice. The food was great although the server was a little inattentive and needed to be reminded several times about a refill or something but otherwise she was very nice. It was a bit pricy. Not the food so much but the drinks were pretty expensive, in my opinion. Otherwise, it was a great evening and will be returning next time we're in the area. FYI - I also got a deep dish to-go and it was great the next day!
Pasta was amazing but the pizza needs a lot of work was stuck to the paper.
Romantic ambiance, swanky decor with an industrial vibe. Nice place for a date night or drinks with friends. Food is absolutely delicious! A bit hard to find, but that's really part of the fun of it.
It was a nice atmosphere with great food and drinks.
Nice atmosphere Food was good.
Today we tried this restaurant and several of the meals. We started with the signature meatballs for a starter. The meatballs were very tasty and exactly what I expected! The house Sicilian bread was good when not extremely toasted. Then we had wild mushroom pappardelle with added shrimp. The bread for this dish was less toasted and better. The dish was very filling and had a lot of flavor. One thing negative was the kale was cut improperly and had the woody and very tough center leaf veins still in the chop. A little more finesse with the prep would have been much better. The shrimp were over cooked. One was like a piece of tough steak! We also had the Capone’s Lasagna. This is a very heavy dish! You could get probably 3 meals out of this filling one. Then we had the Prosciutto and cheese Baci. The creamy garlic Parmesan sauce ended up looking and tasting like seasoned paper mache glue. The stuffed noodles were tasty but I could not get past the sauce. We had several issues with the waitstaff on a non busy day where we had to remind them of things we requested. Either we were reminding them or they would come to the table and say “oh that’s right you wanted ……” I would go back to try different items to see if it was a one off night as itjj be is a little pricy!
Unique, fun, and cozy atmosphere. Pizza is fantastic, great service, and craft cocktails and beer.
