I first went to Toco Boy in 1976 while attending CMU and have followed them i each location move . Every time I am in town it is a must stop. There have been times I have even driven hour out of my way to make the stop. This place is truly one of best in the state
We live in Grand rapids, my fiance is from Mt Pleasant. Every single time we come into town Taco Boy is a must. It's usually the very first place we stop. I haven't tried much on their menu, but I do know that the tacos are perfection and the hot sauce pairs perfectly with it!
The first time I went to Taco Boy was about 45 years ago and it still it so good! I love their tacos so much!! The best!
I can’t believe the service received and the quality of the food at this establishment. It was of very poor quality and taste, lacking flavor and seemed very old. The salsa was straight out of a jar, very bland. The chips were enough for 1 person only and not very fresh. The enchiladas tasted awful. The ground beef didn’t seemed seasoned at all. Our orders was inaccurate and the person taking orders was not friendly at all! I will not return to this place of business. I’m sorry but don’t waste your money here folks
If you want to know exactly how great this place is, go to the frozen food section of save a lot and then microwave yourself a dinner and it would be as good or better than taco boy. Will never come back again. Sad because I really wanted to like this place. :-(
Taco boy is straight up Triflin. First of all the lady at the counter should be working the prison commissary with her attitude. Second of all the chips and salsa was the most communist serving possible. Third of all the meat tasted like dehydrated squirrel thigh, and the enchiladas were just roadkill. When I got up to use the restroom the roach on the toilet cussed me out when I tried to use it. Definitely don’t recommend, Taco Bell is considered authentic Mexican food after my visit.
This is definitely taco boy...not taco man. If you're looking for food that tastes like leftovers at a dorm room this your place. Please visit if you hate flavor and love paying double for stale Mexican on a budget.
Love love love the ever reliable Taco Meat Burrito. Any trip to Mount Pleasant includes a concerted effort to eat a meal at Taco Boy!
I loved taco boy when I was in Grand Rapids and now that I moved up to the mount pleasant area, I’ve gotta say this place is even better!
Without exaggeration, my tap water has more flavor than the enchilada sauce from here.I have always heard it said that Americans will serve Mexican food without any seasoning, but I had never encountered this before eating food from Taco Boy
