STAY AWAY!!! We should have known by the smell of stale beer overwhelming you as you enter the front door. If that wasn't enough, nearly every surface in this restaurant was filthy, the dust and grime was so thick on every surface made it clear that this place has not been cleaned in a very long time. Honestly, I'm surprised it could pass a health inspection in this state. But, we are new to town and are trying to give every restaurant a fair shake. We pressed on, hoping some food and drinks could redeem the experience. They could not. We were one of only TWO couples in the place and our food was COLD, service was terrible, drinks were wrong. It was disgusting. Like I said, STAY AWAY!!!
If you like the smell of beer and sticky table tops....cold food this is your place. Waitresses are very nice, but that's alll this place has to offer. When you get to be in your 40+ you should know better but the ratings tricked us. The food was cold and took forever (considering we were only 2nd table there). We were afraid of food poisoning this place is so dirty. I think this place really is for college students that are too drunk to care about food quality. I could still smell the stench of them hours after and yet...we stayed...so it's our fault for being stupid enough to not listen to our guts the moment we sat down on those sticky torn bench seats. I blame myself really. I should know better. This is a fair warning to all of you reading the reviews before eating here....don't...for the love of pete...save yourselves!
Great waitress. BIG beers in plastic cups. Roomy and great bar atmosphere.
Love the atmosphere, bartender was cute and it was nice having pool tables! Def will be back ?
Been in Mt pleasant for 5 years, but this is the first time we have been to the blue gator. Will be making this our main bar from now on.Drinks are good, staff was absolutely incredible. Large venue with pool tables and darts. Very clean.Five stars all the way.
I have never seen such poor service. The employees were just standing around doing nothing. We were one of two tables in the restaurant and we waited 15 minutes just to order food. The food was not great. Then we waited half an hour after finishing eating to get our bills. Never coming back.
Good food for a college town bar
Don't waste your time. Went to blue gator before a concert at soaring eagle. The waitress was friendly but we were a small group of 7, with only one other group of 4 in the whole bar/restaurant. It took about 40 minutes to get our food and definitely wasn't worth the wait.

Internet menu is not up to date nor is menu in the bar. They were not serving any Cajun nor gator bites. Ordered shrimp tacos and and tex mex dip. Chips were stale and server was made aware and was going to get us new chips bit then came our and tokd us that it was due to humidity. We ate maybe 4 TBS of the dip and gave 9t back as we were not going to be given fresh chips. Asked for our bill and nothing deleted then got a new bill for 8 dollars. Gave a 20 and 3 dollars change came back. It was an awful experience and will never go back.
