They make things different than most Chinese restaurants in the city. Its hard finding food that is close to what I grew up with here in the burbs.The Almond chicken was good. My second half was very dry and the gravy that traditionally compliments the dish was like a broth. It wasn't good it wasn't bad... it was odd... The sweet n sour sauce is off too. My son didn't really enjoy his meal. The sesame chicken and chicken lo mein was okay. It was given to us the way we ordered which was a bonus. Good egg rolls but I needed plum sauce. Their sauce was like an interesting sweet n sour type sauce.Over all the fried rice was MUCH better than New Moon(won't go there again). We may give it another shot and grab plum sauce from New Moon because that's the best thing they serve.Good portion for the money, friendly staff, Covid Safe.

I’ve ordered food from this restaurant twice now and it’s been amazing both times. The service is friendly and quick and the food tastes great! Definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area and I can see why it’s rated the best Chinese restaurant in Macomb.

Food was not edible.....2 orders went in the garbage. Worst sweet & sour pork I've ever had, fried rice had no taste, egg rolls were horrible and General Tso was disgusting....broccoli tasted moldy. Will never go back there. I understand new owners. I used to go there years ago and liked it...not now!
This was are first visit to this Golden Bowl and we weren't disappointed! The staff was courteous and personable. The food was delicious and hot and ready in 10 minutes as promised. Portion size was more than enough to satisfy the biggest appetite! Prices are very reasonable. This is our new and favorite Chinese restaurant.
Everything was well packed, generous portions, the almond chicken was moist and not dry at all and they were very generous with the almonds. That's why I went as high as 3 stars. I didn't like the chicken egg rolls at all, they were crispy but the meat was mealy a good vegetable egg roll would have been better. The almond boneless chicken sauce was really weird tasting. Not savory, not seasoned, not sweet even like some restaurants make it. It's a jellyish texture peachy colored flavorless sauce. The fried rice only has egg in it and lacks flavor.
Our family tried Golden Bowl for the first time and was impressed with the entrees and portions. The flavor of the food and the quality was also good as well. I am notoriously selective about my Asian food and this place is worth it. We had the cashew chicken, beef with broccoli and almond boneless chicken and everything was great. Ordering online was super easy and I recommend using this service and picking up your food rather than using a delivery service where they add on fees driving up the cost. Highly recommended, we will be back soon!
Our first time and the service was very good, ten minutes. The food portions were very good with fair pricing. The sesame chicken had good flavor but the chicken was a little on dry side. The fried rice was a hit, highly recommend it. House special Pad Thai was very good, I really enjoyed that. The house special Lo Mein was too salty to enjoy, would not get that again. The fried wanton, just bad, that is all I can say about that. I love egg rolls, but these just were not good, could not eat it, very disappointed.
