Going to be kind here... unless you like your bag to have mystery meals in it I suggest open and inspect before leaving. I stopped ordering from here a while back because of this and guess what I gave them one more chance and they still got it wrong. How can you mess up 2 identical meals every time it's ordered. Never again for me... plus the chicken was rubbery this time and my cat even spit it out. I don't like to see my money going right into my garbage but unfortunately today it did...

Good service ? and nice ? people working ? ?♀️ here. .... ....... They wanted sweet ? and sour chicken ? ? with sauce ? on the side. I had to do a pickup order because they didn't have a,curbside. Same thing I guess or not? Ordered it, pick it up, and drove it to our family ? visit. The restaurant inside was clean and organized . Check ✔️ it out!
I used to LOVE this place. Would always order the twice cooked pork. It’s been a few years and so I decided to take my now husband to try it. We pick it up and get home to find it’s more like twice cooked cabbage. VERY little pork. And what we do have a itty bitty pieces. It’s 80% cabbage. I ordered medium and there’s no spice at all. And we found 2 dark hairs in our food (we’re both blonde). We also go crab Rangoons that are so dry and hard they taste like they’ve been sitting out for days. Very disappointed. I was excited for this dinner. Won’t be back.
Only reason I won't be returning is because they're expensive (for the amount of food received) and don't offer substitutions! but my food wasn't too bad, just a little greasy. The spring roll tasted like it came out of the box (I wouldn't be surprised) so that was very disappointing.
Was very excited to order from here for the first time, looked forward to it the entire week. Tonight we finally ordered and I've got to say that we were all disappointed. I usually don't write reviews but I really can't help it. The hot and sour soup was not spicy at all, the sauce on the walnut shrimp tasted like super greasy mayonnaise, the sauce for the crispy shrimp with szechuan sauce (which was supposed to be spicy) tasted like watered down katchup with grated ginger in it and the chicken chow mein (which usually has noodles) didn't have noodles. When I called back they said their chow mein doesn't come with noodles when most do and that's it.
Best takeout Chinese in Livonia. Been going there for 20 years. Very fast and always great food.
Just picked up a sesame chicken lunch special. Just looked bad before I ever tasted it! It’s just soggy & the fried rice has no flavor. I think it’s definitely not fresh. Too bad! They used to be good! I’ll keep going to Dale Yees! Always good but closed now on Wednesday
Ok… let me just say I’ve been to multiple Chinese restaurants and have never been as particular with the place in my hometown. I always talk about the Lomein and am very picky. This place was amazing!!!!!! The workers were very polite and the food was excellent!!!! Definitely recommend and guess what… It’s open for dining so go chill and enjoy the hot and ready foods!!
Like many great food experience, Szechuan Empire as attained a level of decline and mediocrity that takes it off the list of go to places. Sad because it was once an excellent restaurant. Food is now struggling to be average at best.
Would not recommend. Ordered a lot of food and they forgot half the sides (3 rice and 3 soups). The food was not very good at all, the soup they did give us had little flavor (very Watery) and the chicken and pork was garbage meat. The are way over priced for the quality and service they provided. We ordered food for 8 people at our business and they forgot the sides to half of them. We are all very disappointed with our first visit here and can definitely promise none of us and more will ever be coming back.
