I love the deboned chicken with rice and salad. I get an order of carrots cooked. The fresh bread delicious and garlic. Food so delicious. The staff friendly and attentive. We love this place?
Eat here at your own risk. My friends had our family over for dinner, when we got there we decided to order carryout at Sheesh (Saturday 7/9/22). We ordered $100 in food, including a platter, 2 meat combination trays and 4 salads with bread. We ate dinner, and hung out then left and went back home. As soon as we got home, myself my husband and my almost 10mo old got very sick. (Food poisoning kinda sick). My best friend told me that they both were sick as well. Three of our kids who didn't have the food were fine. She called immediately the next day and they said the manager wasn't in and would call back, he NEVER called back. She called again and when she finally got ahold of him, he explained that we "didn't call immediately" which was a LIE. He refused to call back and that he would refund half of the meal. He was calling us liars saying that it wasn't the food that made us sick which in fact it was. We each have our own families and homes, that was the last meal that any of us ate before we became ill. He then tried to make the excuse that we didn't call right away which was also a LIE. They were closed when everyone was on the toilet the entire night and also she called immediately that morning and he continued to avoid the call. When he finally answered he stated that it was our faults and that the food was fine. He never once took responsibility for never calling back or even looking into the situation. Bad business, bad food, and contamination. Will never eat here again. McDonald's would have been so much better. So gross.
Place is always really giod...sometimes struggles with speed...but food is on the money. Great salads, tawook, raw juices..
I have been coming here several months. I ordered food every 2 to 3 weeks and always had good service. On my last 2 visits the service was poor and the food was cold and burnt. Bread was tough. On a second visit the wrong food was served. They were supposed to replace food but acted like they did not know what I was talking about. I informed them of the waitress’ name and they still were claiming they were unaware. The waitress said it would be no problem to replace the food. This was about a week later and I heard someone in background saying “That was burnt food.”Manager-never said name- agreed to replace it after several questions and confronting statements about the order. He seemed very reluctant to correct their mistake. When I arrived the food was ready but no soup or bread. I asked and manager said food plate was bad and I did not say soup. I told him whole meal was bad and didn’t soup come with meal. In a confrontational manner again he said “you had your soup!”I have driven 25 min to this place in pandemic and high gas prices but never again. This customer treatment is sub standard by far. I have worked quality management and this is poor. There are other places with higher quality food and respectful customer practices. My recommendation is go somewhere else.
I've been coming here more than 7 years. I've watched them grow into a second unit in the strip mall. We've recommended this place to family. People we've referred, have even left good reviews in the past. I can't do that now. Every part of the experience was poor. There was confusion about who was going to seat the people waiting before us. It took over 10 minutes to talk to our waitress after we were sat. We had to ask for twice for water, and didn't get them until halfway through the meal. We asked the waitress at the table next to us for water but we're told "I'm not your waitress". When the appetizers came we were only given two plates for three people. I had to go to the front of the restaurant to get an extra plate. The table next to us from earlier, who had bread, was eating it over their napkins, which was complicated by only being given two for a table of 3. So one of them was using half of the napkin from the bread bowl. The smoothie we ordered didn't come until almost the end of the meal. The food we were given was cold (I can't really believe it came from the kitchen that way). The parts of our order that they got right we're good. After we paid, on the way out we had to walk through some "discussion" between the person taking carryout orders and some people waiting to pickup their orders. I've literally watched this place grow and been proud to recommend it to others. It makes me very disappointed to see this place in this state.Assuming the discussion we observed is a one-off, this place may still be viable for carry out.
Upon 1st looking at the menu it might appear expensive, however don't be fooled. Portions are generous. Taste is incredible. I have been to many middle eastern restaurants and this is the first one to serve salsa with a Mediterranean twist. It had cumin in it. Very tasty. I had the Swordfish Ghalaba that was excellent. The fish was tender without being mushy, almost like a fresh poke. The meal came with 2 sides.
I love eating at Sheesh! The Yemeni style of cuisine is amazing, the dishes are delicious, the service is always good, and this restaurant is gorgeous. I love their salad with their unique salad dressing...I always ask for extra. I like to start with the lamb fahsah for the first course and then I get the lamb hamneeth (spelling???). It's done of the best stuff on earth. Don't forget to ask for their fresh spicy salsa... it's a must have. I love Middle Eastern cuisine in general, but Sheesh is extra special. 5 stars.
First time at this restaurant, tried it on a whim, from the moment we walked in we were treated like family. We let the host know it was our first time and they brought out a bread/hummus/sauce appetizer to try. Will definitely visit again!
Randomly chosen for lunch with sisters following a hospice visit nearby. Nondescript strip mall setting. However, the venue interior is bright & rather elegant though casual & comfortable.Good service. Typical Lebanese menu with many options. Outstanding kitchen, generous portions & quite reasonable pricing. Lentil soup lovely!A hidden gem if you are in the vicinity.
I really wanted to like Sheesh. The bread was great. But my chicken tasted a little strange. I went on to have the worst food sickness of my entire life. I was served undercooked food here. Looking at other reviews, it seems like they are a bit known for unsanitary conditions as it is. STAY AWAY
