You will have to wait at least 10 minutes at the speaker with no one in front of you before they will even take your order. Once they decide to take your order, you’ll have to repeat it at least six times no matter how small it is for them to get it right. The food is usually fresh, but the service is absolutely terrible. They have also been out of every type of dessert for months which is very strange.
I started my experience at this Popeyes by pulling up as the 6th car in line at the drive-in. At this point it was 7:50pm. In the next 18 minutes, one car had their order taken. 3 of the 5 cars ahead of me left without ordering. I finally made it to the front of the line at 8:18. I thought about dining in but when I called to ask them if this was possible (after not answering on four previous phone call attempts during my 30 minutes tenor on line), on the fifth call they told me that the dining room is only open to doordash or Uber Eats. I sure hope the food is good, I've never waited 30 minutes in line in at a Drive-Thru before. I'm only thankful that three ahead of me cars gave up... Who knows how long it would have been until they I had taken my order. I finally received my food at 8:25 pm. When I checked my bag I was missing two biscuits I ordered but thankfully I checked before I pulled away. Thankfully the food was hot and very good. I live closer to the Popeye's on Ford Road by about a 10 minute and I opted to take an extra 10 minute ride because that Popeye's never has hot food and never has any type of seafood. The employees told me the reason for the delay was due to their shift change. At least they were pleasant about it but this seems excessive and crazy. This may have been the second negative review I've ever done out of maybe 20 total reviews so you have to have some pretty poor circumstances, service or food quality to receive a negative review from me.
Yuck! I was there this afternoon and ordered a four piece meal with a mac & cheese side, small diet Coke, biscuit and a jalapeño pepper. The person taking orders and at the window were friendly and my order was correct. The diet Coke, mac & cheese and jalapeño pepper were very good, the biscuit was hard as a rock and the four chicken thighs were so small and boney there couldn’t have been more than an ounce and a half of chicken on each piece. The chicken was dry and didn’t taste all that good. I ordered the four piece meal so I could have two pieces tomorrow but there is no way I am going to eat this, they are going in the trash. I won’t be back to this location. It’s been over a year since I’ve eaten Popeyes chicken and would usually go to the location on Telegraph in Redford and never had a problem there. I don’t know if the quality has gone down at all locations or if it’s just this one in Livonia.
If God didn’t want me to eat fast food anymore, He could of just said that! The longest wait I’ve ever experienced. I’m usually super patient because how short staffed the world is right now. But I waited 25 minutes in driver thru. I had a mobile order and it still took forever. I spent my entire lunch in line. THEN they only had two drinks available. Of course the drink I decided on was super watery. THEN they didn’t have cocktail sauce for my shrimp.
Went today for the first time to eat dinner , best experience I ever had from any fast food resturant. I went to walk up to the door, and was greeted by an employee as she opened the door. The first question was do you dine in. The Answer was yes! Great experience, with fast time of getting my food. Will gladly come here again. Thanks popeye's chicken for making my day great. ??❤❤?
I gotta stop and tell this story. I was having a not so good Day. And I stopped to get me something to eat at this store. The drive thru lady ( Carolyn) was on point with the timing of my order and she brought a smile on my face. Totally made the rest of my day better. That's what customer service is about.
Typically I love Popeyes. The spicy chicken tenders are so good. However, my husband went to this Popeyes today and they changed the chicken! They said they don’t have spicy chicken tenders anymore and they don’t even bread the chicken. It’s very clearly/ noticeably frozen chicken and very bland. Disgusting. I’m done with Popeyes. The chicken was the best part. Don’t waste your money.
Slow. Ordered regular flounder sandwich got the spicy. Cashier picked at her ear while waiting on ke.2 stars for the food. Would of been a 5 but spicy is not my style.-10 for the hair flying all around. Zero hats and hair nets
Terribly mismanaged!! Went to.place an order for a current promotion theyre running and i was informed that they did NOT have about 4 or 5 soft drinks, only spicy chicken, no hot sauce packets and charged more for an extra side that i really did not want. And also the employees were not wearing masks and other protective items while preparing food for customers. A lot of horseplay and rude coarse language observed while awaiting on my order to be prepared which took in excess of 12 mins. Be prepared and expect disappointment when visiting this restaurant in Livonia, Michigan....
I truly enjoyed my Big Box meal and the price too❤
