Absolutely horrific beef nachos. Never, ever going there again. Yuck!!
I completely understand the Challenges faced by independent operators in this current ( 2022 ) labor market, but...Or server was great - the food less so. Beans were dry. Chicken in my chimichanga was cold. No toppings...Which forces the Question: Do you not visit until the kitchen gets better, and hope this Icon doesn't close for good, OR, return with adjusted expectations, and hope it gets better...?
Always consistent quality. Must be some great kitchen staff. The entire staff is on point ready to serve.I always loved the unique interior rooms. Very cozy feel inside. Oh yeah the food..its likely the best Mexican around!
Great service that was reasonably quick for a large group. The food was freshly made and well prepared. Good prices for drinks. They have lots of separate dining rooms which I'm always a fan of for restaurants, it makes for a comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely go again
Been going here for decades. Love the food. Servers know us, feels very intimate.
Fair experience this evening. I have ordered several times in the past and was very pleased. Not today! I ordered a Large Botano only to receive a very small portion. Look like the size of a small Botona. Even the salsa on the side was a small amount. Give people what they pay for! Why does the salsa look like someone has already dipped in it.?
The retro ambiance alone is worth enjoying a visit to experience. It's a Livonia institution, and it's not bad. All the food was prepared well — the beans had a nice texture the rice was fluffy and my flautas were nice and crunchy — but man it needed some seasoning. All the dishes were bland tasting and lacking in both salt and spice. We'll be back though.
I used to come to this restaurant a lot a while back and I really liked it. I tried it again recently and it was not great. I’m convinced the chips were warmed up Tostitos and the salsa came out of a Pace jar. The rice and beans were very bland. The tacos I had were good, which is what the two stars is for.
Staff is great and the food is tasty. Good portions and the margaritas are fantastic. It’s one of our favorite restaurants
Lively atmosphere mixed with great food and drinks and you'll be talking about it when you leave. Will be back.
