I am so glad to have found this place after I was so so unhappy with the other famous nationwide wings chain that have seriously been lacking quality and taste and service in some time now.The wings at this place here is awesome, very moist tender chicken exactly how you would want your wings as.The sauces are very good, my favorite being the Buffalo sauce, the garlic sauce is very very spicy but a sure one to try out.The variety of sauce is not that extensive but what they have is very tasty and really goes well with the wings, something for everyone.Corn bread here is very good as a side to try out.
I never do reviews but feel compelled, this place is fantastic. Great chicken, great staff....the sauces are a nice change of pace from the B Dubs sauces we know. I would take DWC over B Dubs 10 out of 10. Not that I wouldn't eat at B Dubs if offered, but if I have a hankerin' for some wings, this is my place. Personal fav sauce is the Hot Garlic, has some bite to it, so if you can't handle any heat, don't get it. But the ratio of heat and flavor is too good for me to pass up. If you haven't had poutine before, would recommend that as well...it's good!
Awesomeness! 3/19/22 first time customer… Ordered online for pickup. Food was ready when indicated on email receipt. Between 2 of us we got a 5 &10 piece wing meal with Buffalo sauce and Cajun rub, both of which were very good. We were impressed with serving sizes of sides too. They don’t skimp sides especially carrots, celery, and bleu cheese! Other places we have done wings usually serve about 3 each. Also ordered the Oreo cheesecake which again was excellent and probably one would have been enough for both of us. I am on the line for cost but end run we got our moneys worth. Glad we tired them because we stopped using the other popular place months ago because of quality or lack there of.
Haven't had anything there that hasn't been less than amazing!!! The chicken is moist and tender EVERY TIME, and if you order the boneless chicken, or the chicken tenders, the breading is nice and crispy.. The lemon pepper has always been my favorite, but I tried the Carolina Gold yesterday, and OMG, now I have two favorites. Absolutely delicious!!! My son agrees with me. He tried the Carolina Gold for the first time yesterday too, and said this is now his favorite sauce on the menu.. Not exaggerating when I say, everything is ALWAYS cooked to perfection!!! As far as the side dishes go, they are all delicious as well, and their fries are without a doubt the best I've had!!! Whether you want extra sauce, or sauce on the side, the staff there is so friendly and accommodating... Seriously if you haven't been to DWC yet, you are missing out!!!
We ordered the tenders. It came fresh warm and tasty. The fries were also good and fresh. Food was clean. We tried the honey bbq and the garlic parmesan sauces and both were yummy. The later is slightly spicy but totally tolerable.
They have vegan tenders! Not sure which sauce is vegan but I get these for my husband and son who aren't strict vegans. They LOVE them. I'm unsure if they use a separate fryer for them (I doubt it) I also don't know if they use a separate fryer for fries.
My first time coming to DWC after seeing them on Fox 2 was the day before Superbowl Sunday (I wanted to visit before gameday and try a few things, sauces, see how it goes, etc). I ordered the Mac & Cheese, Poutine, coleslaw, potato salad, and vegan tenders, and several sauces -all quite good! The regular mac & cheese was surprisingly filling...enough for two days. The vegan tenders were FANTASTIC! The Whiskey BBQ, Bold BBQ, Teriyaki, and Garlic Parmesan sauces were my favourites. Plenty of flavor and the bold seemed to have more heat than the whiskey version. Staff was friendly and it was ready about 15 min earlier than expected.The next day I placed the Superbowl order. 12 pc classic and boneless wings, coleslaw, more mac and cheese, and a few sauces: bold bbq, hot garlic, sweet heat, calypso, and Garlic parm. I already knew they were having a limited menu for gameday and I expected a longer wait after placing my 3:30 pm order. Surprise again - it was ready 15 early and luckily I drove out early just in case.The food was ready and service from the staff was fast and friendly. Unfortunately....they forgot two sauces (calypso and sweet heat) that I didn't get to try. The rest of the order was accurate and all tasted great!With the price, it's definitely a treat, but I would visit Detroit Wing Company again!
I've ordered from this place a handful of times and haven't been disappointed. Their boneless wings taste great, are always cooked properly and are pretty decently sized. Some of them are borderline tenders. The poutine is also great. Be warned, this isn't BWW and they aren't kidding around with their spicy sauces. I eat some pretty ridiculous stuff and the Calypso wings brought a tear to my eye. The hot garlic doesn't really mess around either. If you haven't already, give this place a shot!
Ordered wings for my NYE party. The wings were a nice portion, great balance of sauce, and they were tasty. They are a little pricey but I can see why.
I absolutely enjoy these wings. DWC (Southfield) was my first meal in the hospital after giving birth to my daughter. Today was my second visit (Livonia) and I was thoroughly disappointed about the service we received. When I got home we saw that they had messed up our order. I called to let them know and ask for the correct items and was told that they would throw in some extra tenders for the inconvenience, it would be a 25 minute drive to go there and back. We gave them back the order they messed up, and we didn’t receive a coupon, a discount or, “a few extra wings”. I never take the time to write bad reviews but it’s baffling to me that we had an extra 25 minute commute with a newborn for a mistake that wasn’t ours.
