The staff in the morning are completely RUDE and unprofessional!!!! Not to mention the manager but completely unbelievable....I love the food here but I will not be back. If you decide to eat here go in the afternoon!!
One of the better Pastrami sandwiches on Detroit. I ordered the regular size with extra meat....total yum.
The cornbeef is the best!

Just fed our food to our dogs and felt bad for our dogs because this was a very DISAPPOINTING, UNPROFESSIONAL and OVERPRICED meal. They charged us for the pickles we ordered and then told us they didn’t have any so we could get Cheese sticks instead, which costs less+ they said they couldn’t reimburse us the difference but we could get an another soda, and the Cheese sticks were EMPTY when we bit into them as you can see the picture shows all the cheese melted outside of the shells... meanwhile both of our 12$ Sandwiches were cold!!! We called to explain and were met with disbelief from the “manager cook”. We just ordered a pizza. Almost $40 on them completely wasted.
Called ahead and my order was ready when I arrived 10 minutes later.I don’t say this lightly. Bread Basket is the best corned beef sandwich in Metro Detroit. I know, I know. Your think Star Deli is the best. Don’t get me wrong. Star Deli is great. But Bread Basket is the best. I always ask for an old AND a new pickle with my #17 and 1/2. And I like mine with extra Swiss, but that’s just my preference. Guy in front of me ordered his #17 and 1/2 “extra wet”, which turns out means extra thousand island. The point is just do you and they are happy to accommodate.

Disgusting ? I ordered a corn beef sandwich ?. I can’t believe that I received a old & cold meat. Roast beef is red with born. The meat smelled old, brown, and soft. Thankful I inspected my food before eating. I would have had food poisoning in the hospital right now. Unclean and disgusting. Terrible! Terrible!

Spent 0 dollars here the woman cashier wouldn't serve me what I wanted on the menu but points out same cornbeef sandwich but at a higher price and wouldn't except their coupon. This is the Middlebelt location. I chose too go home and cook a delicious Turkey burger top swiss ,tomato, sweet onion mayo mustard on a brioche bun and Red Robin onion rings sold frozen at Walmart. Bread and Basket customers bring you business but you can't give them what they don't want ??
