Just started going here again after 10 or so years. They have stop serving breakfast and have given the place more of a casual dining atmosphere. The food is better than what you typically expect at a "family restaurant" and so far we have enjoyed everything we have gotten from there. Most of what we have chosen is a bit better than you would expect (except the mozzarella sticks) The frog legs are good, the stuffed cabbage is amazing and the broasted chicken is very tasty and juicy! Still have to try some of their specials, as we dine later and they are usually gone by then. They also have a selection of beer and wine if you enjoy that.
Our experience at Archie's was top notch all the way around. Our party of three adults and a 6-year-old was seated within five minutes. Our server doted on our grandson, but listened to him too. And she had answers to all our questions, which is always important. One major plus here was the restaurant had a Hungarian dish called Chicken Paprikash and my wife has Hungarian blood coursing through her veins. She was pleased, but would have suggested a slight variation to the recipe to suit her tastes. I had their lasagna, recommended by our server, and she was right on the money. It was filling and tasty, and the homemade chicken noodle soup ahead of the meal was excellent. The atmosphere is casual and busy without being frantic. Archie, the owner, was all over the place, seating customers and being the man in charge. This was our second straight terrific visit to a Livonia restaurant in two days. We think it's a trend!
has got to be my favorite place ever. They not only have some of the best fish and chips i’ve ever had, but they have the best customer service. This is the perfect place to take your family and your friends. The staff is amazing and so friendly. Highly recommended coming here!!
This is by far one my favorite and best restaurants I have been to! The food is 5 star quality and the customer service and atmosphere here is phenomenal!! Everyone needs to come here! By far the best place/restaurant in Michigan!!
Excellent customer service, they had Mountain Dew pop and the meatloaf was actually done - and good!! Real mashed potatoes and the bread (the butter was soft and easy to spread) was delicious! Waitress was friendly and helpful! The only reason for (4) four stars & not five was there was an annoying bug flying around that would not go away and I believe it was the owner and his son? They were having a "disagreement" about something and it carried on longer than I cared to hear! Other than that, perfection!
This place is great! The management and other staff are nic were and friendly.The food is awesome, and they have my favorite meal, Frog Legs ??Will definitely go back. Worth the drive from Flat Rock. ❤️
Stunning! I ordered over the phone and my order was taken swiftly and professionally and I was told that my order of two entrees and two sides would be ready in 10 minutes. As I was paying for my order, one of the employees was telling an old gentleman that he didn't need to walk in, and that he was trying to keep an eye out for his car to bring him his order and process the payment for him. I was blown away to see such a thoughtful, compassionate, and accommodating act for someone with mobility difficulties. My order was ready and it smelled amazing, I was hungry and looking forward to every bite.I have been making homemade pasta with my husband, and noticed some textural similarities in the weekly special I ordered, Chicken Paprikash with dumplings. My husband said that he was experiencing a sense memory for grandmother made Paprikash he has had before. Absolutely out of this world good!!!The reuben was stacked with meat and a good amount of sauerkraut. Deliciously toasted and buttery. I appreciate the thousand island coming on the side. Great fries.11/10!!! I am definitely coming here again! What phenomenal service, I could tell they work hard to have good throughput! The staff all deserve raises and to be paid well for their success! I've been living in Livonia for about a year, and this is the best meal I have had from a restaurant in the city by far!!!
I've been going here my whole life and now my son loves the food here! Family tradition to go and they have the best soup anywhere! ??
Customer service is always amazing ? . We found this restaurant a few days before Christmas and each time food is great and the staff. No matter how difficult your order is for carry out they are nice enough to figure it out and you don’t have to deal with an attitude either OMG THEY ARE SO FRIENDLY HERE!! My mom Shanon always call our family food in and there is never a problem!! Thank you Archie’s so great food and services!!!!!!!
Wow. What an experience! Walking through the door and was greeted and seated right away. By the time I took off my coat 4 people had asked me what I wanted to drink. The ENERGY from the owner to the staff is other worldly. Take aways...1. Amber is a rock star waitress2. The drinks are strong3. The food came out HOT!4. They now have a repeat customer.
