I ordered the “biscuits with bacon” and it was pretty amazing! So many tasty flavors going on in it! Their French Press coffee is delicious and enough for a table of 4 to enjoy a cup. The restaurant is first come, first serve (no reservations). If it’s the weekend, show up before they open- if you want to get right in and be guaranteed a table. Great breakfast place!

Menu says it all! Cheesy grits and steak!! Yummy! Great staff too!

This is absolutely the worst meal I have had in a long time. The food was cold when it came out. There was actually no seasoning at all!!! I have been to New Orleans several times and the food NEVER disappoints. I was delighted to see a “Creole” diner in Lansing. This “Creole” restaurant had no resemblance of New Orleans food or culture. I cannot put into words how disappointed Family and I were with this eatery.

Good food great staff. I anticipate to come back to try a burger. I definitely recommend if your ever in the old town area stop here for fantastic and eclectic feel/vibe.

We have been here several times. Stopped in on a Sunday....The service was VERY SLOW! We waited 20 + minutes for our drink order. Another couple who was seated after us was told by the manager that " She could not take a drink order because SHE WAS THE MANAGER!" When we complained she was extremely nasty! When my husband said he ran his business different than she was running things, she said " I guess I do!" Then stormed off. No apologies to anyone for the long delays. She definitely needs some management training or needs to be replaced. Very poorly run!

Part of any dining experience is the service. Ordered two orange juices, never got them. Never got a water refill, even though glasses were completely empty. Waitress quickly came by and grabbed an empty Bloody Mary glass from the table not even pausing long enough to ask if we’d like another (would have had two). Then, after 55 minutes, food finally came out. Two of the three orders were wrong. More waiting. And as a final culminating moment, we paid and then realized we were charged for a side of bacon that was supposed to be part of the kids’ meal. To be clear, it wasn’t that busy. When we arrived, there were lots of open tables. Waitress seemed to wander and not focus. This establishment is frustrating and needs some serious customer service training. Wait staff should fully understand the menu.

In todays world of not finding enough people or product, I can really appreciate restaurants today. We came there this past weekend with a party of 6 unannounced and they sat us with zero wait. After we ordered the manager came to us and said they ran out of shrimp and fish. That was not a problem for us and we ordered something else, the Jambalaya. The manager insisted on deserts on the house but we understood the issues and politely said no. He wasn't having it and insisted. GREAT COSTUMER SERVICE. I look forward to spending my money there in the future.. Good job and good service!

I wish Google allowed less than 1 star ratings. Both myself and my wife came in for brunch recently. The food was awful, the service was subpar, the restaurant was filthy and had a musty odor. The floor was sticky, the tables and bar area were dirty and unkept as well. When I went to the bathroom I was shocked at how filthy things were. I have seen festival porta-potties that were cleaner, and the odor in the bathrooms was even worse then the odor in the dining room. I am terrified to think of what the kitchen must look like. When we raised our concerns with our server we were treated like a bother and never saw a manager or anyone in an authoritative position despite asking multiple times. I still cant believe what I was charged for what can only be described as the worst dining experience I have had in my adult life. Both myself and my wife also felt ill shortly after eating here. This place used to have the best brunch in Lansing. This is absolutely no longer the case. Do yourself a favor and run away from this place fast. I will never eat there again and will absolutely share my experience with others. I don't understand how this place can stay open based on our experience. The management and staff should all be ashamed. Do better or just don't do it at all.

Great food & atmosphere. No stress eating experience; stay as long as you want, not trying to push you out for the next table. Shrimp & grits, mushroom omelette, stuffed French toast, creole burger all were delicious.

The food was horrible. Burger was ordered medium well and came out rare. The cornbread was cold in the middle. Had a fridge/freezer taste to it. The chicken sandwich was served on the hardest coldest biscuit I’ve ever had. It was not edible. The fries are just generic Gordon food service. Bland with no taste. The waitress told me that fries came with my sandwich and when I got my bill I saw a charge for five dollars for a side of fries. For five dollars they’ll give you a side of fries which contains about 10 to 14 fries. The manager never came to our table and offered a replacement dish or even to apologize. The table next to us also had undercooked burgers. For Saturday night they were not busy and they had plenty of open tables. The waitress was nice but knew absolutely nothing about the menu. Took almost an hour to get a raw burger and a hockey puck chicken sandwich. Way to many good places to eat in Lansing to come back here. SKIP THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
