My family has been coming here for 3 generations. If you like Coney dogs and you are in Lansing, then Sparty's Coney Island is the place for you. A true local favorite.They offer both Flint and Detroit style sauces and their breakfast is amazing. Just what you would come to expect from an old Coney Island restaurant.The cooks and waitstaff have been here long term and that really puts this place over the edge. Fast friendly service and great food. Not to mention that Tuesdays are $1.75 Coney days.
this was the first time at this establishmentour waitress Sarah was AMAZINGFood was mediocreif you were paying with a credit card you were going to be paying different priceprices of food were not written on the bill so we’re unsure if we were actually charged the right price or whatever price they deemed appropriate at that momentit’s not good business practice to charge different prices for different methods of payment that’s why you charge and across the board few you just lost customers*no sausage patties only lukewarm bacon*
Great coneys. I tried both the Detroit and Flint style (Flint was actually better!) The service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Decent prices and lots of parking. 10/10 would recommened.
Have always loved the breakfast. Went this morning as I had a coupon from the LSJ. Was for one free entree with the purchase of an equal or higher priced entree, up to $7. Presented to the waitress and was told there was new owners and they would not accept any coupons. She even went and asked. She was very apologetic!! So breakfast was $22 instead of $15. Food and service was good. New owners are to be determined!! So 5 stars drops to 3!!
Good old place with a real organic nostalgic feeling. The place feels just like the late 80's diner feel. Flannel and family friendly. If your like me and enjoy a good old fashion short order cooking. This is the place. Also come on Tuesday, dogs are cheap and delicious. One last thing, Staff is friendly and accommodating, thank you.
Servers nice, food decent. Prices for a coney restaurant are a joke. Ordered 2 omelets with coke and it was $40?!?! $5 up charge to each omelet for add bacon
Love this place and have since I was a kid. Hands down the best coney sauce in town. I do wish their portions were a little bigger but thats probably because I always have the munchies when I get there.
I love this place. Breakfast is awesome. Can't say enough about the Detroit coneys. ❤️ I have often talked about the organized chaos in the kitchen area. Those two guys are like fine ballet dancers. It is a joy to watch them work as I eat great food. The wait staff have, for the most part, been here forever. And they are some of the best in Lansing. You will not go wrong eating here.
Amazing food and excellent service! We got our food so fast too! Definitely recommend and this will be a regular stop for us now!
This is the 3rd time I've been to this sparty's Coney island and they have the best food. There are chili dogs are to die for. A & W has the worst chili dogs ever. I seen sparty's make a pancake the size of your plate I gotta try it . You can't go wrong . The restaurant is very clean and everybody that works there is really nice . which makes it fantastic place to be.
