Nice variety of food...waitress was nice. I appreciated the openness of the restaurant. We got the pulled pork Nashville wings jalapeño polish sausage and brisket grill cheese. The kids got grill cheese and chicken quarter. Everything tasted good. There was plenty sitting! Oh Yeah I also enjoyed the Draft Sampler...you can choose four beers from their many draft beers for only $8.
First time visiting Smokey Bones of Lansing. My waitress Paige was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Grilled Salmon with the Fried Pickles as an appetizer. Both were very tasty. The Tito's Strawberry Lemonade was delicious and well mixed. If you're in the area, stop by!
Paige was our server today!! She is enthusiastic, helpful and very accommodating. She was willing to go the extra mile to make our meal special. We could tell she loves working here. We were so happy with the food also... So flavorful. ???
Figured we would try something new out in BBQ. Ordered 8 “jumbo” smoked wings and a side of loaded cheese fries, $18 for the wings and 6.50 for the fries.Food was good enough but nothing special and the 8 “jumbo” wings were just like the regular wing dings you get anywhere, definitely not jumbo and surely not worth $2/piece.There are many better places in Lansing and the surrounding areas that’s quality is on par or better and bigger portions. I wouldn’t recommend.
Korean pork pops were phenomenal, kind of wished they would have added cabbage besides the onion as garnish. The brisket was good with their house sauce. The St. Louis ribs were not impressive by any means nor the spare ribs. The ribs tasted like those store bought packaged ribs. I'd argue the ribs from Chili's were more impressive, but I really don't like those ones. I prefer Saddlebacks bbq if you are looking for the real deal ribs. The overall price at this place was way more expensive for less quality food. The baked beans were decent, the mashed potatoes and gravy were kind of bland. I would go back for the Korean pork pops and to try maybe something else from the menu I may have overlooked.
Food was good, expected more for price. Service was phenomenal and made the experience worth it.
This was our second time trying Smokey Bones, but the first time in 5+ years. Nice atmosphere, cool interior design. Seems like a great place to sit at the bar or bring the family. Prompt, friendly service even on a Friday evening. The entrees were very good overall. The macaroni & cheese is nothing special and pretty bland by itself (even a little disappointing), but loaded with pulled pork, fried onions, and Chipotle BBQ sauce (which was stellar!) it definitely improved. And the fried pickles were the BEST we have ever had. Definitely would order them again! It was pretty expensive for the slightly above average quality, but they served large portions so we weren't surprised. While it won't be one of our top go-to picks for date night, we will be back again sometime.
absolutely amazing food and drinks. will definitely be going back again
Amazing & a lot of food for a great price
