I enjoy the Tuesday classic drive in! Great food and staff!!!
This place hasn't changed much and that's fine by me. The chicken strip meal is my go to and the only disappointment was years ago when they tried a weird breading for the strips. Thankfully they went back to the classic recipe and its been smooth sailing ever since. Olympic Broil is one those throwback burger joints that churns out feel good food, definitely worth a visit.
Recap: The owner's behavior makes me personally not want to step foot in there again. UPDATE: Called my bank and got my money back! They also charged me a couple of cents for the wrong order BUT that was also refunded by my bank :-]I loved going to Olympic Broil and the food was always great! But I had a bad experience here today 3/31/22. So our issue was that we only had a small amount of money to spent in our account and we got charged for another person's order( who spent more money than us). I didn't want my card to get in the negative/ get overdrafts. The cashier lady reversed the order but I also wanted to cancel my current order( just to make sure I didn't overspend/get overcharged in my account because sometimes reversals can take a while) everything was fine/ we were all calm and no one was irate, however the restaurant owner proceeds to confront us out of nowhere and call me and my dad demeaning things like "children, who can't do math and don't understand anything" I'm not sure why he was trying to instigate a fight with me and my dad out of the blue by saying rude things to us when we were just asking for a refund for a $8 order.Luckily me and my dad didn't take the bait and ignored his instigation/ didn't stoop to his name-calling level. If you are the owner reading this I hope you reflect on your behavior and do better next time. I have been going there for over a decade/ live in a nearby area with no issues and never been rude to any of your employees. But this for me was enough to personally not step foot in there again.
Many favorites here. Olympic Burger, chicken tenders, crinkle fries, onion rings, Gyros. You probably shouldn't eat here everyday. But when you have a craving for something fried, it's the best! They have been very efficient in the last year with drive-thru also.
I didn’t get pickles on my burger ? but I sucked it up and took a bite despite the ketchup I also didn’t want lol, but all and all it’s delicious. Make it how ever y’all want. I’ll eat it. ?
This is a must-stop whenever I'm in Lansing. I've never had a bad experience here. The staff has always been awesome. Burgers are always good and the chicken tenders are HUGE!
Olympic Broil is always a great choice for a quality meal quick and cheap. The picnic tables are perfect for a meal outside instead of taking the food home. Over the years I have tried almost every thing on the menu and can honestly say that I have never been disappointed. If you are within 30 minutes away Olympic Broil should be on your radar for a fast food restaurant ran by a family not a corporate office.
We used to love this place. Unfortunately todays visit will be our last. There was a hair in our burger. I know this happens sometimes but it’s how it’s handled that can keep customers coming back. This time the manager wanted to see the hair. When I mentioned that it was spit out they still wanted the sandwich back to see. Not worth the drive back.
Good, quality food at a decent price. You can definitely squeeze a whole day’s calories in if you’re not careful, but very worth it. Met the owner and his family and they are so prideful of their restaurant and its quality. They are drivethru only right now but def check out if you’re in the area!
Having grown up in Lansing, Olympic Broil was a staple for us. Despite what some people might think about the neighborhood and area, talk to any state employee downtown or blue collar worker and you'll find out that this family run restaurant serves the best hand dipped onion rings, deep fried mushrooms, chicken tenders, fried fish, as well as amazing hamburgers and even better gyros. During the summer it typically puts on a car show in the evenings and have been part of the Lansing community for over 40 years. If you're looking for a great homemade fast food meal check out Olympic Broil.
