Food was good, but overpriced. Service was fine. Tables were very close together; chairs bumping into people at the next table.
Started quite well, the table we were given put sun in our faces which is pleasant but prevented vision for my wife and I to see each other. So we asked if we could be seated in a more shaded area, and our request was accommodated. Our server arrived promptly and asked what we wished to drink as well if we desired an appetizers and fresh bread. I exclaimed fresh bread would be wonderful please and thank you. I also ordered a Long Island ice tea, the spinach artichoke dip appetizer, and my wife ordered an Arnold Palmer. The waters and the bread arrived promptly following our requests, and our dinner requests were submitted at that time. We drank our waters ate the bread, and our beverages arrived shortly afterwards with the appetizer. We finished the appetizer and our drinks waiting for our dinner requests. Our dinner was brought out by a different server. Once our meals were half way finished our server came back, and asked if we wanted a refill we of course accepted. We finished our dinner and waited for her return, and after 20 minutes I got up from my table to find another server, to cancel the refills and get the check. I went and sat with my wife at the table for the check. 10 minutes later the check arrives with the refills listed on the check. I informed the server we never received those, the server said they would correct this issue. Another 10 minutes and the check arrived and I paid with card. My wife was kind enough to apply a 20% tip, if she had not been there I would have tipped a dollar.
Our waitress was fantastic!
I loved the pecan crusted trout and my grandson liked his mahi. Overall a really nice dinner.
It was okay. Guess we didnât need a reservation as it wasnât busy. Had to keep asking for refills on drinks.
We had a great lunch on the outside patio. Our server was wonderful! Highly recommended.
Mitchell's was always a go to when it came to food quality and experience. However, they have made a steady downturn in their menu selections and the quality of food being served. They use covid as an excuse for anything wrong, but the food preparation has nothing to do with that. Sure it may mean they don't have something, but it has nothing to do with poorly prepared dishes. Popular menu items are gone, replaced with poor substitutes. The seared ahi appetizer has been replaced by a poke that is ill conceived and not even close to an actual poke. The hoisin ahi is also gone as well, replaced by a poorly done Shanghai recipe. Fish was overcooked. Scallops, which we're some of the best I have ever had were mediocre. Perfectly searing a scallop and then putting it on a ridiculously hot plate only makes it cook more and you're rewarded with an eraser. The old manager was far more engaging with customers, the old chef far more refined than the current one Because Mitchell's is owned by a company (Landry's) that buys out good restaurants, I imagine a lot of the issues with Mitchell's stem from corporate people looking to maximize profit over quality. A restaurant that used to be bustling is now just another place for mediocre food
Service was excellent. Very good seafood at a reasonable price. There are very few seafood restaurants to choose from ⦠Mitchellâs is consistent in food quality and service.
The food was terrific and the wait staff is always excellent!
The Cobb salad??? Get it.
