Everything was great rice and beans had actual flavor and fresh today. Salsa, same thing and not afraid of heat. Very good will be coming back for tamales.
I never in a million years thought I could give a mexican resturant a bad rating for their food. I've eaten mexican food all over the country and I've never not enjoyed it. I ordered a smothered burrito today with some of their mexican dip. The burrito was simply a tortilla with bland shredded beef on the inside, smothered with what I would guess is just the cheap red enchilada sauce you can buy at walmart in a can. There just wasnt much diversity in flavor and texture. The mexican dip I could only eat a few bites of before I just tossed it out. From what I can tell its just beans with a little bit of ground beef in it? I thought it would have queso or something.The salsa wasnt bad, its smooth in texture but just like everything else I tasted from this place, it lacked flavor. Im surprised at how highly this resturant is rated because like I said, ive never hated mexican food in my life. But today was that day, worst mexican food I've ever had.
We recently moved to the area and went to the north side location. We called to order ahead. I noticed the total seemed off by several $. When we went to pick up the food I noticed they charged over menu price for all items. When I asked about it, she said it was because I used a credit card but I was told the total on the phone without being asked how I was paying. Overall the food is good but the portions were a bit small and for 3 meals we were given one small bag of chips. I walked out feeling scammed as there was a 10% mark up when credit cards do not charge near that to the merchant.
First time I've ever been there. Good food GREAT prices. Fast friendly service. Definitely will be back. Everyone should go. Make their own beans and chips. Ground or shredded beef and chicken. No extra cost for shredded beef which is great and unlike almost every Mexican restaurant I've ever been too
Mexico 2 go is one of my favorite hot spots, I love the hospitality and kindness.. in my personal opinion the wet burrito is the best item, with shredded beef and cheese. You definitely can tell that they put a lot of passion in their cooking.. for great food and wonderful people, make you're way too Mexico 2 go.
