No frills, just straight up yummy basics. Breakfast burritos are perfect and how I would expect one would be from an authentic restaurant (came with white queso on top-yum)! Their Tortas are huge and the peppers in it are yummy! Came with mayo and finely chopped sand which veggies. The sand which bread was a large personal loaf-like bun that tasted homemade and fresh-lightly toasted.-To me it was perfect! Highly recommend if you want some decent Mexican food. PS guacamole was bountiful and super fresh!
Went here for the first time today and I was very satisfied with the birria quesadilla. The consomé (broth) was flavorful and the quesadilla had the right amount of ingredients in it. Horchata was great too and so were the rice and beans. Will be back again! Also, the service was fantastic!
Delicious and huge breakfast burritos, yummy enchiladas, family friendly, great service and homey atmosphere.
After a very busy week, we took a quick, late lunch break and headed to Maria’s Cuisine in Old Town. I’ve been wanting to check out their new location. Of course, we ordered all the birria! The birria ramen was my favorite, although the tacos with consommé were amazing. I’ve been on a nachos kick, so we got the nachos too. Got some dessert to take home for tonight—tres leche cake and flan. The husband enjoyed them with his favorite local brew. The food is delicious. The service was impeccable. And the newly renovated building was lovely and cheerful. Will be back to try their breakfast burritos and maybe some more of that soup!
First time ordering and it will be my last. After $130 dollars in food for my family dinner, the food was beyond subpar, total fail. The barria tacos, dry brisket meat folded in an over cooked corn tortilla, with very little meat. Moving on to the beans and rice. The beans were a runny mess, the taste/flavor was disgusting ?. It's like they watered down the beans to streach it to fit our order, pathetic. Just say "we're almost out" or just say you don't have it. Sacrificing quality for quantity. The rice was also overcooked and unappetizing. The torta was decent, nothing special but edible. We also ordered dessert, flan and tres leche cake. The flan was burned, how do you do this, seriously? I can't see what people like about this place, the taco truck was probably good, but this was a complete miss. Especially for the price and quality of the food, I'd rather eat Supermercado La Estrellita or El Chaparrito, even taco bell at this point. This is not authentic Mexican food. Find another place to eat if you value your time and money.
Such an amazing place! Love love love the birria tacos and queso! My husband and I loved sharing our first meal alone as a married couple!
Great little spot to stop and have a delicious meal... Prices are fair not expensive at all.. The food is amazing I definitely recommend if you are looking for real Authentic Mexican Food. This is the place. ???
(Not pictured a la cart tamale)Such great service and food! As a 10+ year vegetarian, I was shocked to find they recently added soy substitute as a meat alternative (pictured in my tacos). We were celebrating my birthday and the tres leches was amazing! Maria’s was a great find and we will definitely be coming back!
Birra taco and birra quesadilla were decent enough, but nothing to write home about. Chorizo queso was good. Be prepared to pay for chips and salsa. Drinks were served in cans, and you pay for each one. Think "indoor food truck" vibes.
Out of this world! Came for the birria ramen, stayed for the birria ramen but also the queso and chimichangas!!! The food is incredible with lots of flavor. Birria ramen is rich, hot, and tasty, and chips are crispy and salty which go great with the creamy queso. Service is fast and friendly, and the interior is super cute and cheery.
