Iorio Gelato is located inside Horracks Farmers market. Plenty of rich gelato flavors to choose from along with other frozen treats. While you're indulging in the gelato, you can wander about the incredible market. I've never seen such product variety in one place. You have to see it to believe it.We're going back tomorrow to see more!
To start off the gelato was delicious. I come here practically every Saturday, the gelato is always wonderful and the service is always spectacular. I came in today (8/28). I entered expecting the quality service I usually get however, in the late afternoon/evening around 4 or 5 we walked up to the counter intending to order gelato. This young woman wearing a skirt talked to me but refused to address my husband. I thought this was odd to start off, but to be honest he is a Black male and that seems like the most obvious reason for her to be avoiding him. I would also like to add that the amount of attitude she seemed to have and that she was on her phone ignoring the other people in line. I don't like to be this person, but this was not the usual Horrocks experience and I thought it deserved mentioning.
This is an interesting place!! You can shop for trees, flowers, or lawn and garden items or even groceries on a large scale. The place is huge, we never made it through half of it.. You can even enjoy their large pond while eating pizza and enjoying a beer with indoor and out door seating.

Sweet stuff but it's not ice cream, so don't go expecting that. V sweet tho.
Iorio is truly amazing. This is the best gelato we have had outside of Italy. We love taking friends and family here. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Pre covid-19 you could sample anything before you bought it. You can mix and match multiple flavors even in a small. My wife will do three flavors in a small but I'd only recommend two. They have so many rotating flavors and they make them all in house. They try to get as many ingredients from Italy that they can (milk from Michigan of course). I would highly recommend and stop in every time I go to horrocks.
My husband has to have Gelato every time we go to Horrocks. First time there since convid 19. We went right before close. Hardly any people there which we dont mind. Everyone was wearing a mask which is a must for safety health reasons.Try the Gelato...very good and many flavors available. Salted Carmel is soooo good!
