Food was very good. Grilled salmon was cooked perfectly. Ordered baby carrots and received corn. Server brought carrots in a few minutes worth the wait. The Key West chicken and shrimp were great. Mashed potatoes were really good.Server was really good. Only downside was drinks were not refilled and croissant put on table was drowned in at least a stick of butter. Neither of these reduced the experience.

Waitress Kirsten (?) was amazing. Very friendly , knowledgeable and pleasant. We received 2 dirty steak knives in our silverware so please check them carefully or use recommended silverware soak. Almost no wait to be seated at 420pm Monday. Mildly busy , served food and appetizers-drinks fast

I used to LOVE the loaded fries here... well lesson learned don't order them to go. I got them for lunch today and not only is there way less then you would get eating inside but there's no bacon ?. For $10 this is pretty rediculous

First time here. The table smelled like dirty dish water. The server was nice and brought these delicious croissants first thing. The Strawberry lemonade was good. The chicken broccoli Alfredo was great, chicken was tender, noodles and sauce were tasty but the broccoli was literally raw. Our food was all hot otherwise.

The food was good but the staff was amazing!! We were in town as my husband was graduating from Michigan State U. What he didn’t know was that our adult children were coming in to surprise him and be there for his graduation. When our kids got to Cheddars they explained to the staff what they were doing and the staff jumped right in to make sure everything was a great surprise for when my husband and I arrived. They yelled surprise, took videos for us, clapped and made us feel extra special. They made us feel like we were all family!! They also treated us to some great desserts! You truly all went above and beyond and made our time there wonderful! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Definitely worth the wait and the $$. With 3 boys and 2 adults and everyone satisfied, rare thing lol... Atmosphere was also pleasant

My wife and I stopped in for what we hoped would be a nice Easter lunch with my Dad. We stopped in around 1:30 on 4/17/2022. Well the food was average at best and the server while a nice young man, needed some training on basic ways to address people his waiting on. My wife ordered an entrée and two sides. She was not happy with the broccoli or green beans which appeared to be french cut style and looked like something out of a del monte can. She said the rest of the food was average to blah. I ordered a T-Bone meal with two sides. The seasoned rice really lacked any flavor and had it not been an off tan color could have passed for plain white steamed rice. The broccoli was a bit overcooked for my taste. I like certain veggies to have a little bit of bite to them and not be mushy. The T Bone was only seared on the presentation side and was also the most fatty piece of meat I have ever eaten especially for a T-bone which is a top cut. It also had almost as much gristle as it did meat. Definitely not worth the 20.49 I paid for that meal. My dad's meal while he did not complain looked average at best as well. The service side of things was okay. The staff were friendly enough but the young man who waited on us needs to learn that you don't address people you are waiting on as "buddy". I am old enough to be his dad at almost 57 and my Dad is almost 80 and he is calling us buddy. He is lucky I didn't take him aside and address it myself. I worked in food service in two different restaurants and in a deli for over 10 years and that is not how you address people. Suffice it to say we will not be coming to this restaurant again.

We remember this restaurant as being a good place to eat. Today we waited 40 minutes to get a table and then were sat in the bar area where the workers were eating between rolling silverware, smoking outside and coming back in to roll silverware, blowing their noses and rolling silverware and who knows what else. I asked for a manager to tell him that it looked pretty un-hygienic (no hand washing happening here!) and he just said yes and when I asked him his name and what title he held, he asked "why is there a problem?" Really??? I just got done telling you they blew their noses and threw the tissues on the table where they are rolling the silverware. PJ was the manager or maybe BJ as he had a mask on and it was loud. I will never go back and I recommend no one to go to this establishment in Lansing MI

I placed a p/u order after getting out of work late and not wanting to cook for my son and myself. 12 minutes after placing the order and hurrying to the location I was contacted to be told that the ribeye I ordered was frozen solid(BAD COMMUNICATION from kitchen) but the sirloin( NOT AS GOOD) was available. I opted to get the sirloin( That I definitely didn't want but was starving), I asked if a side of shrimp($1.99) could be added on complimentary and Brittany stated "that she could not give me free shrimp due to them not having what I wanted and she doesn't make the rules" I was kind of taken back by her rudeness but i let it go(only for a sec) I kindly gave my opinion and ended the call. After arriving my order was shortly brought out to me. The smell was amazing but the whole ordeal still did not sit right. I contacted Cheddars and asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation and she stated that the story told to her was a bit different(by Brittany) that I asked for free shrimp and a free 8oz sirloin(huh?? I didn't even really want the 6oz I ordered) (WOW Brittany the lies!!) The manager did agree to refund my debit card $10 for the bad experience and said she'd speak with staff about the issue. Now for me to only to get home and cut my steak open and blood ran out( I asked for it well done :/ I really didn't think things would get worse).. When I tell you this was theee worst experience I've ever had a Cheddars it was by far the worst. I ended up turning my oven on broil and cooking my steak through(guess I ended up cooking anyways)smh

I always try to find something positive when I write a review but sometimes that's not possible. Today's visit to Cheddars is one of those times. This is not the first time we've eaten here, but may be our last. We ordered the Sampler Appetizer which included 4 chicken strips, queso, Santa Fe spinach dip and chips, and the Monte Cristo with fries done crispy. Not long after placing our order, our server returned saying they weren't sure they had Monte Cristo, so a chicken finger meal was ordered. Shortly he returned to say they were out of Santa Fe dip so another meal choice was needed; a cup of potato soup replaced the item. After quite a wait a Monte Cristo arrived at the table, but the waiter told us he couldn't find any soup in the kitchen. Nothing was ordered to replace this. The fries that accompanied the sandwich were cold and the sandwich was barely warm. Did their Monday delivery not arrive, or had they had a run on their signature potatoe soup and Santa Fe Dip? In situations like this wait staff should be apprised of any items they aren't able to serve. Once in one visit could be understood, but two items is unacceptable.
