Great food! Normally I would rate it a 5 star but this time the cook didn't grill the mushrooms and jalapeno peppers with the onions because he didn't put onions in the sandwich! First time I ever had that happen... Paid for them? Mushrooms and peppers not being cooked added a different flavor... No onions added a different flavor! Great sandwich just not what I wanted!
I have been too the Clipert St. store many times.The restaurant was clean, the people are friendly and they are fast at getting your orde to you. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, lack of bread choices.
Staff has always been super friendly. Food is always fresh and tasty. Place is clean. Thanks for being awesome!
Hot and fresh. The cheese makes any selection perfect and filling. The steak sandwiches are wonderful but there are other options, try a chicken Philly or a Rueben. If you don’t need the extra carbs make it a salad instead.
Classic steak and onion. Load it up with salt and red sauce, and it can’t be beat. Is it healthy? No get out of here with your healthy business. Is it insanely delicious? Yes. Heck yes it is.
Best steak sandwiches in the state, if were traveling and one is near us , we stop by and get a sandwich.
12/19/21 Arrive at 7:37 PM. Sign says open. 2 gentleman ran out n locked the door and turned the open sign off. This place Deserves 0 stars in my opinion. The owner needs to make his mine up at what time they close. It would be helpful to the public and your employees. Cedar Street much better 5 stars .
It doesn’t get any worse than this location.Sloppy & soggy. Too lazy to make steak without onions so don’t even ask they’ll just give you the wrong order. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star.
Hands down the worst in this chain. Kids who work here could NOT CARE LESS!!! Not to mention the hours are inconsistent. Says they are open til 10, but its lights out at 837. If you can hit up the west side location, its awesome. But the Frandor store??? Is a joke.
Countless times I’ve tried to order food around 930 which is a half hour before they close they tell me that they’re Closed because of some excuse and I’ve heard many different ones. Where I live I don’t have a big John steak and onion near me. I live in the Detroit area. Every time I drive in this direction I love their sandwiches so much. But I look forward to being able to pass by them to order a sandwich unfortunately I work late hours so a lot of times when I do pass by I pass by them closer towards their closing time. I won’t order food from any restaurant with only 10 minutes left for them to close but I think a half hour is more than enough time to not get them upset to where they’re not gonna make my order. I guess now I should start looking elsewhere. Thank you big Johns for letting me down once again.
