517 catered my Dad’s celebration of life and everything was wonderful. They were very quick with getting back to me when I called about their catering service, they had my order and what I needed to feed 45 people quickly put together, while being professional and friendly. I added desert the following day of ordering with no problem. Everyone at the gathering for my Dad throughly enjoyed. You won’t be disappointed.
The pulled pork is extremely good, but the bbq sauce was Sweet Baby Ray's straight from Meijers. So mediocre. I got the pulled pork sandwich combo with cole slaw. Unfortunately, they put cilantro in their slaw, which I dislike. A straight up old fashioned slaw would be nice. I'll go back to try the brisket, but I think I will just get meat. Lansing has a lot of great bbq, so 517 needs to up it's game.
We decided to try this restaurant for dinner last night after seeing someone post on Facebook asking to support them because covid has been tough. The drive-thru and service were nice. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich with cheesy potatoes and green beans and a pulled pork plate with cheesy potatoes, mac and cheese, and cornbread. When we ate dinner at home, we discovered the pulled pork plate looked and tasted just like turkey. So I'm hoping someone messed up. The cornbread was crumbly and would fall apart in your hand. Sides were nothing spectacular. Might have liked it better if I actually got to eat pulled pork. It was okay food, but there are better barbecue places in Lansing. I won't be back.
BBQ is always good just little confused about nachos. Was asked if we wanted anything on them. We said yes load them up and got chicken and cheese
Stopped by this place to check it out. The Brisket plate is a great value and taste great. You get side with a mound of meat and it is honestly enough for my Wife and myself to share. I have also had the nachos with chicken, it was pretty good and again enough to share. The staff is friendly and one time they had homemade peanut butter cookies which were delicious. Highly recommend this place for some quick bbq.
Food was pretty good, got brisket nachos. Good portion for the price. Everything was cut fresh too order. Will definitely be going back in the future. Only thing I can say is I wish mine had more cheese. The wife got chicken nachos and if my toppings were like hers it would have been amazing!
This is some GOOOOD bar b que. Cant wait to go back. Tried the cheesey potatoes today with the pulled pork. In addition to great food they are very nice people.

BBQ delivery tends to be a little dry and cold. This was neither. Very moist and great smoke flavor. Awesome stuff
The brisket is awful and the sides are mediocre at best. It's like if hospital food featured bbq. The only decent thing to me was the chicken.
