I was visiting from Chicago and I had the very best ribs i've ever had. The staff was extremely friendly and the whole experience was a must. It's called soul food bc i really tasted the soul in this bad boy. Mac & cheese was to die for

Super, super nice people. They love to feed people good food. Got the ribs and oh my gosh they were excellent. Tasted like they had been smoked all day long! And the warm barbecue sauce they poured over them was excellent. Got the collard greens and the spaghetti on the side, both were very tasty and tasted home cooked. They do everything from scratch and you can tell. This is my go-to bbq place in town. Definitely worth a stop

They wanted to overcharge me for the full rack of ribs. $19.99 turned into $24.99. My husband went to Sam’s for ribs instead.
It was a little disappointing to me. Got the rib tips with mac n cheese. Had about 4 rib tips in the box the rest were cut up ribs, lots of bones and fat. Mac n cheese was just meh, was made with real cheese though! I did like the bbq sauce though! Sweet and runny. Meat was a little dry as well. Not a ton of smoked flavor to it either. Maybe better another time?
I tried barbecue in dozens of places around the country. I just left here and I can barely keep my hands out of my rib tips! A very nice young lady working there too. A pleasure, even though it's 38° out. This just may be the best kept secret in Kalamazoo. Not kidding the best rib tips I've ever tasted! They were out of mac and cheese already so I'll have to get there earlier next time. And had I known about the peach cobbler egg roll at the time, I would have ordered that too!Don't pass it up!
