So I just visited the Tangy Crab-Kalamazoo for my 3rd visit in the last 2 months. The first 2 visits were good. Food was awesome but the service from the bartenders were subpar as I was seated at the bar. This visit (7-11-22) at 4 pm was not so great. I was the only one seated at the bar with what I assume were 2 bartenders going and coming from the bar area. I was never asked If I wanted a drink or even greeted/acknowledged!! After 10 minutes I walked out. Feedback for Mgt. and owners - you realize your days are limited with this type of behavior. I drove down to The Black Rock and was greeted with a great friendly bartender. I’m not really mad or upset. But you all need this feedback.
Great food but don’t wear ur good clothes because it will be messy.

Stopped in for a quick bite and sat at the bar.Service was great. 5 stars for that. Server was very attentive and kept my drinks topped off regularly.I had the catfish basket and a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was quite good. It didn't really surprise in a good or bad way; it just tasted like normal clam chowder, but done well.The catfish basket was pretty good. Tons of fries that were well seasoned.Catfish was ok. I like the flaky breading choice they went with, but in truth it felt a wee bit undercooked. I prefer a nice, crispy outter crunch, but this was a bit soft once I bit into it.The flavor of the fish was good. I'd rather if it was seasoned a bit more on the breading, but I know a lot of people are picky and might be turned off by that, which I understand.Still, I was satisfied and would happily go back to try more food. I'm eager to get in on a good boil, since that's clearly what this place aims to do best as their main food attraction.Worth a stop if you like seafood.

Our waitress was attentive and polite. I had a shrimp boil with butter, old bay seasoning, corn, and potatoes. My daughter had a shrimp basket, and my husband had a fish basket. Additionally, the calamari appetizer was fresh and delicious. The portions are generous! The restaurant was clean with whimsical decor. Compared to other similar( crab boil places) restaurants in the area your dollar will go further here. A family of 3 can eat here for under 50$ not including tip. Will eat here again.
Will definitely be back! Great price and taste! A very good bang for your buck! The only hiccup that else ran into was the food was a little bland but to our understanding, we did order the mild seasoning. Next time we are here we will have to try the spicy and see how much flavor is there!! But great portions prices and service!!! Oh and the cocktails from the bar were amazing!!!
We finally had the opportunity to try this restaurant last night and we really liked it! The restaurant looks pretty cool inside with tons of sea decorations and designs. Me and my father had the signature broil which was delicious. The sauce was really good, the sausage was good as well and everything about it was pretty good. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to get seafood
Amazing food, my wife ordered a crab and shrimp boil, i got shrimp fried rice, was very suprised to see shrimp fried rice on the menu. Food was amazing, we were in a little later than dinner time and service was very fast. I failed to take a picture of my shrimp fried rice, but my wife took one of her food.
