We very much enjoyed a night away from kids. And it wasn't very busy considering March Madness was on most every TV. Service was good and the food came quickly and our glasses were never empty.
So thankful to have found a place open past 10- and with delicious food! (The kitchen is open til 1:30 am) After a trip out to South Haven and some night hiking-the OGT hit the spot. Great beer selection-I had Dirty Blonde by Atwater, they also have 2.50 Miller Lite Drafts. The food was excellent. I was trying to decide between 5 things-the best kind of struggle-and landed on The Puffy Tacos and pickle chips for an app. Was not disappointed. The prices were fair and reasonable. The service was quick and they had a great selection of games on yo watch. Its definitely a college student gem. Thanks for sharing it with us.We will be back!
I gave this review a 2 star only because their food is excellent. I have been told they will not allow under aged kids in after a certain time. It's not posted on their website so I called the restaurant to verify. I was told 9PM. We went shopping and then wanted to have dinner so it was probably 7:30 when we arrived. We sat down, was greeted, and our server got our order going (mind you she was a great server). Our burgers were delivered and immediately their bouncer came around asking for ID's (this had to be right around 8PM). I said I called earlier in the day and was told 9 that is why we stopped here. He just kept telling us 8PM and stayed at our table. We told him we would eat and leave. Fast forward, I asked to speak to a manager to explain what happened and that we felt about this encounter and that it should be published on their website, he explained it's situational. To me, that's an excuse. If you have a rule, post it so your customers know. Due to the cop-out answer from the manager, I wasn't going to say anything about the Bouncer vaping at the front door inside the restaurant while sitting down.
Good food, that’s why it has three stars. Egotistical bouncers. The bouncers definitely feel like they run the joint. I could hand them a REAL ID and they wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, unprofessional. Too many of my friends have been rejected that are 21+. Library kitchen and tap house is much better with much better customer service. AND much better food! Is it bad to give the library a 5 star review on a GOAT thread? (Goat waitresses and bartenders were on par! Not the obvious college bouncers)
The waiter was great! He worked with me on making a special salad and it was good. Great family atmosphere early in the evening. Waiter was great with my grandson. Didn't have to wait long for food and drinks.
The ONLY redeeming quality of my family’s meal there was our server. He was literally the ONLY employee there that had a sense of urgency. The food was mediocre at best. They had 1 bartender for the entire restaurant and she was slow. The restaurant was busy and they only had 2 servers on which made drinks and food take longer than it should have. All of our meals were either cold, undercooked, or slightly warm and had burnt fries. The brisket sandwich was cold, dry, and salty. The Louisiana hot chicken sandwich was undercooked and pink in the middle. I was told the sauerkraut on the ruben tasted “off”. The pasta we got had good flavor but was cold. We each got a desert and the only decent thing was the tiramisu which based off of everything else we had probably was not made in hose. All of the employees were just wandering around like not much was going on except for our server. I probably would have ended the meal early and left had it not been for him. His service was great. The quality of the food, drinks, and level of service you get (with the exception of our server) is definitely not on par with the pricing. The food is comparable to Applebee’s on a bad day. If you want a quality meal go to Nonna’s Trattoria in Ada.
Food was a little different and very tasty. They wait staff was prompt and pleasant without being intrusive. Great place.
