When I say the food is amazing I love these oxtails and the sides are slap yo mama for cooking all this delicious soul food ❤️❤️👌🏾😘💯. I clearly think if your in town stop on in at Taste of Soul slapping baby👀💃🏾☑️
I'm giving them 5 stars based on the phenomenal food I've had there 3 times. Today was the 4th time, and I think mom was off work, because the meatloaf was not good. 3 times, it was amazing, so whoever cooked it today, don't let them back in the kitchen! The greens are fantastic. Twice now I didn't get the sides I ordered, so check the container before you leave. The sides I did get were delicious, just really wanted those yams today, because they too, are awesome. Plan ahead. This isn't fast food. Its food cooked with love, it takes time. They run out of things because its homemade. Just know before you go. It's not always perfect, but it's good homemade food. The mac and cheese is fantastic as well.
It's good food when you actually get what you order1st time they didn't give me my potato salad 2nd time they gave me 3 chicken legs when I ordered 4It's hit or miss with the rib tips I either get really good meaty ones or barely any meat and mostly fat onesthe price of the sides is high for what you getWait time is 30min to an hour so I would suggest calling in your order ahead of time and check your food before you leave !

Then are told 30 minutes later that your changed side item is also unavailable.*If you order a meal and it says cornbread is included, NOPE $1 extra.*If you excelled in mathematics and 3 dinners at $12.99 plus one side item at $3.99 plus state sales tax equals $56.54 at their register and you don't want a receipt.*If your time isn't the most expensive thing in your life and you bring that gentle reminder up to the owner and they tell you that you should have called a head of time.Then I highly recommend this business, Taste of Soul by Dips located on Nazareth. Now don't get me wrong the food was phenomenal, they put some love behind those recipes, but you shouldn't serve it with hate.
The was my first time trying it and also my first time ever having real greens the food is phenomenal! Although my order seemed to have kinda gotten lost in the shuffle the staff were great and Shakilya really nice about the order issue and being out of one of the things I ordered. She even offered a drink for the inconvenience Mistakes happen it’s the way they are handled is what’s important and she was spot on. The food was also amazing. Best meatloaf I’ve ever had and I LOVE meatloaf. So glad I got to finally try it I keep forgetting it’s there. Will be back for sure!
Long wait but great food. Okra, blackeyed peas and mac all great! Ribs sauced perfect. Pork chops cooked well. Burger is a classic.

Very Good! Chicago style soul food restaurant. I got pork chops with rice and sweet potatoes and baked chicken wings. Everything was really good!
OMG Taste of Soul fulfilled our souls. The food is so delicious. Whenever I travel back to Kalamazoo this restaurant will surely be one of my first stops.✊???✅️?
