Pretend your not from West Michigan and enjoy close to real flavors. If you think La Choy is good move on. So enjoyed the lunch

This has become my go-to spot to get my Chinese food staples - sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, and crab rangoons. I've had better, but this is fairly high up there on the tier list given the alternatives. We used to strictly go to the place across the street near Taco Hell, but in 2020 they dropped their standards so far that we feared going back and started searching elsewhere (we're talking regular angel hair pasta being used as "lo mein"! Lol!) Understandable given the circumstances, but a burn is a burn nonetheless.Thankfully, Sichuan has never done us dirty like that - and they have boba tea too! My only criticisms are that the decor could use an update, and on one occasion the chicken I ordered was half-hard and clearly old. It was only one time, so there's that!

My favorite restaurant in town. Food is always amazing. Highly recommend the cucumber with garlic sauce appetizer and the tofu vegetable soup. Very vegetarian/vegan friendly even though they have a lot of meat dishes!

I absolutely adore this place and think it may be my favorite spot in Kalamazoo. Amazing food, every single time.

I like To support local restaurants, but this was the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Went for lunch, we were the only people in the restaurant at 1:45. We ordered a beef dish that was just fat and grizzle, could not chew it. Ask what kind of sauce was on the stir fry vegetables, waitress didn’t know as she had never had it. She said we could order our sauce. Order brown sauce it came with something red, spicy and greasy. The price on the lunch menu was $5.99 for this veggie item. The bill charge was $8.50, when I showed the menu and price to the waitress, she said that must be the old price and she could not adjust it on the register. Dirty, poor service and inedible food. .

We were so excited to come here. We drove two hours to get there and couldn't wait for authentic Asian food! We craved noodles! If I could give 0 stars I would have. I have spent time in Asia. My wife grew up in China. The food was for the most part inedible. The spicy dumplings were barely filled and just like the mabo tofu was just chili oil and Sichuan peppers. The dan dan noodles were NOT dan dan noodles! The small plate Sichuan chicken had very little chicken and a whole lot of bones. The noodles in that dish were not to the quality of any noodles I had in China, HK, or Singapore. During our visit the waitress asked me if I needed a fork, I said no and she chuckled. She asked me if I needed a fork two more times during our short stay and continued to tell her no. I am very proficient with chopsticks. The mens bathroom had feces all over the back of the toilet seat and the hot water was turned off for hand washing.

Cheap Americanized Chinese food. Service was fast and kind. They have a lunch buffet so eat as much as you want! Quality is on the low end... hot and sour soup was more sour than hot with a dash of bland. The egg rolls were soft and no ice cream machine! On the plus side, the dumplings and dipping sauce were the star of the show.

I hate to write negative reviews and I always try and give the benefit of the doubt, but... I will never go here again and I recommend you don't go here.Clearly from the other reviews people have had different experiences. I went with two other people. My primary complaint was that the food was so bad it was almost inedible. We chose some simple Americanized Chinese food and some of the genuine zechuan dishes on the menu. Dishes that were supposed to be spicy were not. Everything was very greasy and lukewarm. The waitress forgot to bring one of the entrees and then brought the wrong entree and then charged the wrong price for that entree. In terms of positive things, I can say that I like the ambiance. Low lighting, booths. The menu is extensive and authentic, serving unusual dishes from the region. They also have more conventional blander American / Chinese type food. Fried rice etcI have eaten here two other times. Once the food was fantastic, fresh, interesting, perfectly seasoned. The other time was similar to this experience where I left saying "never again"Driving tip. Because it's tricky to make the left turn on Drake into the parking lot, you can take a left turn off West main into the Fazoli's parking lot which is connected..

First time trying it. Got the sesame chicken...that was not sesame chicken. It was red goo with sesame seeds on top. I couldn't even eat it and since it was take out I can't even get a refund for it. They make you pay extra if you want a side of rice or noodles, the prices are literally just for the chicken., And the sides were gross. My boyfriend got the orange chicken and didn't like it either. Waste of money. Also my fortune cookie was stale.

We have been to this place for years and this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in town! Their lunch special is a true steal! You can try a lot of different dishes/soups/snacks for only a few bucks. I tried their L12 Home style beef tendon(one of our favorites), triple slices fish filet and L07 Sichuan Poached beef today! All tasted good! The waitress checked on us frequently and was kind. It wasn't too expensive and the portion sizes were reasonable. And our other favorite menus are H02 Squirrel shaped fish w. Sweet and sour sauce, P04 pork w. Bamboo shoot, SS8 west lake beef soup. Sometimes we order thro DoorDash but always tastes better when we dine in :)
