We're talking about pizza dough hand tossed and made daily, handmade sauce, and a mozzarella blend with a hint of Parmesan and oregano, the highest quality toppings. You can order one of their combos or make your own. An extensive menu unlike any pizzeria I have known - featuring among other things, an authentic antipasto salad.It's conveniently located but unfortunately somewhat obscurely located in a tiny strip mall next to the corner car wash and in front of the Walmart on South 9th Street.And then there's the staff. Warm, efficient, easygoing and dedicated.They offer pick up, eat in, and delivery.As the sign inside says: "You can't buy happiness but you can buy pizza and that's kind of the same thing."When I moved here I asked around about the best pizza place in Kalamazoo. I tried many of them. My search led me to the conclusion that I was better off eating Ramen.Then I found Pizza Katarina. Pure Pizza Joy.A testament to the quality of the pie (what New Yorkers call pizza), is that my brother from New York City was impressed.This is a family-owned family run operation. And their passion for pizza is more like a mission than a business. I could go on but the simple truth is that if you try it, you'll love it.(One hint of their attitude is a lengthy reply to a negative review. Not the standard "we're sorry you had a negative experience blah blah blah")A Top 10 KalamazooGem.
What a find. I read about this place on our Google feed and realized it was just a mile away. The best pizza we have had since Italy. The crust is what makes it great. We watched as the baker tossed the dough into a large perfect round. The pizza came out with crispy tender edges, the inside crumb was like fine french bread and the bottom crust was well done. Good sauce and toppings. We will be back soon.
Ordered the $18 large pepperoni pizza. This pizza would have been great, if I could have enjoyed it. The crust was well overcooked to the point of charbroiled. Added bonus, they said we had to wait a little longer because they burnt a whole in the first pizza we were waiting on. Hint could mean your pizza oven is up too hot. otherwise, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni were all good. Please keep in mind most individuals like to enjoy the whole pizza ( which includes the crust) not just toppings cooked well.
First time eating here and definitely will not be the last. The food was fantastic and the owners, family and staff were so friendly and very welcoming. Best pizza we have had in a very long time.
Just stopped by here for my lunch break and I promise you it’s the best pizza in Kalamazoo and some of the best pizza period. If that wasn’t enough the owner is a really cool lady. I appreciate you guys and I am looking forward to coming back

Great pizza. We tried the mushroom madness and pesto pizza. Personally I prefer way more sauce but that’s just me. I love all of the yummy veggies. So much flavor! ?
OMG!!!So many vegan options.Doughs are vegan.Sauces are vegan.Violife vegan cheese or our favorite Miyokos vegan mozzarella. Water and Wheat vegan sausage and vegan chicken.4 different vegan ice creams, oat milk based so easy on your tummy.Kinda wish I hadn’t found out about this place, going to be tough controlling myself.Also everything was delicious, obviously from scratch dough and sauces. Great service.
This is a very clean, charming little pizza spot that makes some great pizza! We got the spicy pizza with sausage and the focaccia bread sticks with garlic and cheese. These breadsticks are like Chef Ramsay reinvented Little Caesar’s garlic bread. Absolutely the bomb! Also, I’ve never seen a pizza spot around here with so many vegan options. Very cool!
I love Pizza Katerina! The pizza is a perfect blend of thin crust with a ticker edge that folds beautifully for that perfect pizza bite! The ingredients are always top notch and full of flavor. The owners and staff are fun, gracious, and seriously genuine! One of the best Pizza places in Kalamazoo!
