I unfortunately shop here a lot because it is so close to my house. Today, I bought a bunch of asparagus to cook for dinner, and when I took the rubber bands off and separated the stalks, I found the middle of the entire bunch to be moldy and mushy. Absolutely disgusting. I have also in the past bought onions that when I cut them open the same day, were already sprouting inside. It is criminal to charge such high prices for old and inedible food. I understand it is a local family owned business, but I would think that they would care more about the quality of what they are providing to their community.
I went to pick up a seafood bundle. The staff in the meat department were friendly and eager to please! I love this market! We live in Galesburg and we watch the weekly ads. When we see good deals, we come into town and shop at Midtown. Beautiful store, wide selection, friendly staff, and great sales! Keep up the good service!
HUGE section of meat that's honestly pretty gross. The entire section smells funny and has hardly any recognizable brands compared to other SpartanNash stores. Super expensive too. Location is super convenient but guarantee you'll have a better time if you just keep driving down to Meijer.

Honestly, i love this store. They have a great variety of products for the size of the store, everything is fresh, the staff is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and organized, and prices are very fair. The only problem i have is that they close way too early. There isn't another comparable grocery store nearby and I'd rather choose my favorite local grocer after work than travel south to a big store. An extra hour would make a huge difference and i hope they consider that for the summer! Otherwise, great store and they have my support for sure.
Midtown Fresh has been a welcomed addition to the community since it first opened. They host a wide variety of grocery and essential household items at reasonable prices in a clean and organized environment. I can't say it's my favorite grocery store. But since I live around 3 minutes of it, it's a definite option that I enjoy. Clean, organized and stocked with plenty of helpful and friendly staff. If you enjoy the feeling of a small town grocery shopping store at a handy location, you'll enjoy Midtown Fresh.
This is the place to be! Absolutely the BEST! The meat is FANTASTIC....the produce is AWESOME. This store has so many specialty and hard to find items! The store staff is very friendly and so accommodating. I LOVE this store!

A lot of items you won't find anywhere else.. nice selection of meats as well it's a little pricey here sometimes sometimes too much but still like this place
