Cappuccino was pretty good once it was finally made.Three espresso drinks were prepared for other people in line behind me before I asked if they had forgotten mine. One barista said “we’re currently cleaning the line”.That barista made two more espresso drinks before I asked about my drink again. A different barista said “I’m so sorry, there’s not even a cup set out for your cappuccino.”2 stars for a barista that (potentially) point-blank lied, or forgot, but nevertheless didn’t own what happened and didn’t care even after my drink was made by someone else.
A small but solid coffee shop. Quick service in a vintage eccentric atmosphere.Their drip coffee on this particular day was on the shallow/watery end of extraction.Edit: flavor improved as coffee cooled... since when does that happen!??Waiting zone for Crow's Nest upstairs
2 stars for management, 5 star cafe experience. I think the baristas are the people holding things together. Great people. If I could rate them alone it would be 4.5 stars! However, I had a bad experience because a manager or someone with authority was criticizing her for something she didn’t do. He wasn’t listening to her and wasn’t taking accountability for the lack in communication. As someone with managerial experience in cafés, this kind of conversation should have been in private and not in front of baristas and two seats away from me, a guest. Coach in private; praise in public.Unfortunately the beverages here are 6/10 many baristas serve overly foamy lattes. The selection of beverages and syrups appeal to a wide variety of consumers.A sweet chocolatey espresso though! I enjoy their cubano (when they remember a cubano isn’t a cortado) ;)
The dirty Chai ended up being more watery than anything. I ordered a extra shot of espresso in the Chai, along with oatmilk instead of whole milk, so it shoukd have been creamy. And it was not. And then the cinnamon roll I got was kinda chewy over cooked on the outside. But of course the inside was amazing.
Cuz he didn't taste right by the $3 chocolate chip muffin that was stale and hurt his right was not happy I ended up with that amount of money you would think it would be a fresh muffin and the coffee would taste better

Fourth coast. For me, nostalgic and consistent. Actually good coffee. All the time, good coffee. Great people watching spot or a bunker to tie down a good conversation with a best friend. If you're there, you have time to be.
The staff and servers are great and food ok. But the owner has a poor attitude when it comes to engaging his customer base. He has called police on houseless community as well as chased houseless residents with mental health problems out of his establishment. He is rude and concieted and comes from privilege and you can tell by his energy towards others. Women have complained about his misogyny and this behavior needs to be corrected.
Best coffee in Kalamazooo, and very friendly staff. They also have very good gluten free and vegan baked goods.
Yummy coffee. Great vibe.
