I can't deny the awesomeness that is Bomba's. I've tried a few items from them since they've opened. The ribs, steak burrito, cole slaw, and beans were to die for. I'm definitely looking forward to try more.
Checked out the new brick and mortar location on Portage Road tonight. This is the St. Louis rib dinner, which comes with two sides. The mac and cheese is excellent, and the fries were good but could have been in the fryer a bit longer. You can get your ribs dry, spicy, or sweet, and I liked the tang of the sweet sauce. We could easily pull the bones out, the meat was that tender. They smoke on-site, and you can taste that in the meat. I'm planning to return for the brisket next time!
This is the best bbq restaurant I’ve been to in like forever. The workers are kind. This is the spicy bbq wings with fries and pulled pork sandwich I had for my 2nd order. When I first had food here I had the cheeseburger and that was super good as I can say the same of my 2nd order. Highly recommend this place. They have a food truck in the works too right?
Some of the best smoked ribs I’ve ever had! It’s hard to find good smoked meats in town. Definitely will be back.
I got to show some love to Bomba's. I stopped in for my first time today for lunch. If you know me you know I love BBQ and consider myself somewhat of a BBQ connoisseur. Wings Ect. was holding the top rank for me with rib tips in the local area, but they have officially been beat. Wings Ect. no longer has rib tips, which now I could care less about because I now have Bomba's!!!!!!! If you have not tried Bomba's I highly advise you to do so. The collard greens and Mac N Cheese were good too. That is all ? Have a good day!
It's not one star. Brisket was so tender and delicious. Wings were better than most places that have wings in their name. The burgers were top notch (fries need to be crisper). Rib tips are definitely better than happys.We all know that it comes down to the sides.The sides are the one star. Mac and cheese was absolutely terrible. The beans were lackluster. The greens were ok...but the sausage ring that was in there turned everyone off (it looked like a doo doo ring)I will go back and try again but hopefully they will fix the sides!!!!
REALLY good food. I had the brisket tacos and the cook accommodated my request to double up the corn tortillas. There was so much delicious meat that the tacos were perfect this way. Definitely a treat for this Texan to eat such well prepared brisket.
Excellent food. I've been to this location twice. The first time I went with some friends for lunch. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, with lots of meat, tangy sauce and hand cut fries. Everyone raved about the food. On my second visit, I tried the nachos platter with pulled chicken. Very tasty. Highly recommended. I'll be going back there often.
the hardworking, award winning Trevino Bros now have a legit sit down location that will allow them to offer great BBQ, Tex Mex, sandwiches & sides to Kzoo County! The St Louis ribs, brisket, wings and any of the scratch made sides like mac/cheese, bbq beans, hand cut fries, (everything) are served quick and hot... Currently open 11 am to 8 pm Tues - Sat and highly recommended!
Awesome food! I had a hair appointment and I was far too early and dropped in. Very friendly and helpful folks running it gave me a special. I got the rib tips dinner with fries and slaw. Being I don’t like slaw was very kind to give me an extra portion of fries as substitute. Very good will definitely be back to try other things.
